Eela grinned as she planted the seeds. “I have those dried jestral leaves and I have special blend of things I like to add to the infusion. It’s soothing, but also rejuvenating.”
Trays became filled, seeds planted and labelled and Eela brought over the watering can to gently water them in wearing a self-satisfied grin despite dirt being everywhere. “I’m really glad we got to do this. I’m having to force myself to carve out time for small things that bring calmness to my day. So I’m grateful, thank you Sharah.”

Sharah looked up after she finished the last tray and smiled. “You are quite welcome, Eela. I don’t get to do this often, so this was quite a treat.” She dusted off her hands and stood. She started putting things away, folding her empty totes and stuffing them into one. Hauling soil and unused planters back around the corner. Finished clearing up she dusted off her shirt and pants and laughed. “I’m quite a mess.” She took a small box out of her last tote and set it on the table. “And as promised some more homeopathic medicines for you.”

“We should probably wash up first,” Eela said with a grin. “Soil might not be a welcome additive to the medicine.”
“Come on inside, we can wash up in the kitchen,” Dasca said, moving back towards the open dining room doors. She turned right, and along the exterior wall of windows in either direction one could see the rest of the apartment layout (at least on this side of it). To the left next to the dining room was the more formal living room, viewable through the transparent fireplace that divided the two.
Ahead of them as she moved to the right was an open plan casual eating area and a cozy sitting nook. Turning around the far dining room wall, Eela entered her kitchen, which had the cooktop, double ovens and appliances along the wall. There was a large island with a big sink, perfect for storage and food prep. The whole kitchen was clearly set up with all the high quality tools someone who enjoyed cooking could need. A vase on the counter was lush with some of the colourful flowers from the farmer’s market.
From inside the kitchen, down towards the interior corner of the apartment were three rooms, one of which even through the closed transparent door you could see partially into and definitely had the look of an office slash library.
Eela set about washing her hands and passed Sharah a hand towel before she turned to the corner where a wall mounted shelf was filled with glass jars. Most were empty but the ones that had items in them were hand labelled in a tidy and elegant script in whatever native language was used to describe the item inside. One of the jars was filled with the dark green leaves that Shara would recognize, and labelled jestral. “How do you feel about jestral and mint? Maybe with a touch of orange peel?”

Eela’s home (quarters?) were lovely. It was open and flowed from one end to the other. Sharah particularly liked the fireplace. She wondered briefly if she and Markus would ever have a place that would have a real fire place and not just an illusion made from holoprojectors. She followed Eela into the kitchen and washed her hands and face as best she could. She took the towel and dried her hands, glancing back for a glimpse of the patio and the work that had been done there. One day Sharah was going to be a crazy old lady, but instead of cats, she would have plants.
She hung the towel back in place, “That sounds wonderful. Can I help at all?”
