Not one to waste great suggestions and wanting to get to know the colony better, Eela managed to get Cort to give her space between meetings so that she might be able to find somewhere quiet to work that was not her office and where he would hold her calls and take messages until she returned. Much like it was when she was a CO, if you were in plain sight, you never got anything done.

Thus, Lieutenant Governor Dasca stepped out into the bright and warm day, the sun instantly making her relax. She really needed to get the patio portion of the penthouse done up so she could spend time out there.

She moved at an easy pace, her wide legged purple linen trousers flowing with each stride. The brace was working a treat today and her pain was minimal, so for once Eela had started her day in a rather good mood. Her hair was up in an elegant twist at the back of her head, covered by a silk scarf in cream. Paired with the sunglasses, she wasn’t actively trying to hide her identity, but if she were lucky, she’d be able to pass through places without any fuss. Thus far, her empathic abilities had registered a wide range of reactions towards her once people recognized who she was. Everything from curiosity to indifference, to outright irritation. Hyrushi had warned her it would be the case and so she wasn’t surprised.

Reaching her destination, one of her new guards stepped in and did a casual walk around.

A couple minutes later, they stepped out and gave Dasca a nod. She couldn’t help but smile because she was strangely excited about the possibilities this place held, for reasons beyond work ones. Stepping in, she removed her sunglasses and untied the scarf around her head, letting it drape around her neck. Moving in quietly, she just took in the sights as well as the smell, shifting a work bag over her shoulder, excited to browse the books a minute before seeing about coffee and settling in for some work.
