A few minutes later, Dasca materialized into the transporter facilities at the Government Tower. Her booted heels clicked as she stepped off the pad and she simply held her hand out, palm down with an expectant look in her pale hazel eyes. Her long dark hair was swept up in an elegant twist at the back of her head, emphasizing her long neck. An open tailored jacket in a dark blue complemented wide legged trousers in the same colour, and a loose floral blouse hid her brace except when she stood.

One of the security guards stepped forth and read her palm, her ID and credentials instantly popping up. “Lieutenant Governor Dasca, welcome to Oed Five.”

“Quite the auspicious welcome,” she said dryly. “Sounds like a normal day to me.”

The guard then turned to a young woman with auburn hair in a thick braid. She wore a uniform similar to the woman in the ACS Central Control they saw earlier, but the accent color of her uniform were the red of the CCDA’s Colonial Defence Force. Her insignia was that of a Colonel. Smiling, the woman offered her hand. “Good afternoon, I’m Colonel Hallie Pearson… Commanding Officer of the CDF’s OED City Command. It would be my pleasure to escort you the Government floor were yours and Governor Kenzo’s offices are located.” She motioned toward a lift in the opposite direction of the front of Government Tower.

Dasca shook the woman’s hand, though she was careful to shield her mind more strongly. It wouldn’t do to have transfer and usually she liked to give people a choice in the matter. “Thank you. What can you tell me of the security situation I wandered into?” she asked as she matched Peason’s stride as they made their way to the lift.
