Reniad typed her name in and searched what they were calling the ‘old school archive.’ “Ah! Found it. Now let me see,” he tapped and scrolled and added things to a PaDD before handing it over.

“We have several Bachelor’s degrees in Public relations. For Bachelor of Arts we have:
BA in Human Services
BA in Human Services - Child & Family Services
BA in Human Services - Gerontology
BA in Political Science
BA in Sociology - Community Health
And for our Bachelor of Science degrees:
BS in Business Administration - Public Administration
BS in Community Health Education

We offer Masters programs as well, but you would have to complete a Bachelor’s program first.
Specifically in Diplomacy we currently only offer a MSc in International Diplomacy and the Digital State.”

Kristina blew out a breath. “I guess it depends on what I want to do career-wise, doesn’t it?” She chewed on the inside of her cheek for a moment and gazed at Reniad. “Okay, at the risk of sounding too ambitious, I have this inkling about working for Oed’s government, maybe as an assistant somewhere to start, and seeing what happens. I’m not interested in politics per-say, so I’m thinking that the Business Administration degree sounds like it would fit. What do you think?”

Reniad grinned, “That sounds like a good fit. The Business Admin degree covers Policy Analysis and the Role of the Public, Federation Politics and Public Fiscal Management. And all of our degree programs now require in depth internships, so you will actually get to work with the Oed Government for two semesters. You’ll know by the end if that is what you really want.” A tap at his computer sent the course list and degree requirements. “It also looks like most of your previous credits should apply to the basic degree program prerequisites.”

Her grin grew. “Fantastic! And I love the idea of an internship, that’s definitely useful for gaining experience.” It would give her an edge too, since she’d already have connections.

“So, if my classes are all good, and I assume there is room in the new program, is there anything you need me to do? And how long before I will know if I’m accepted?” She’d need to find work in the meantime but that shouldn’t be too difficult.

Reniad nodded at the PaDD with a thrust of his chin. “The application is on there. You will need three letters of recommendation. Once we receive those the process is fairly quick. It takes less than 3 weeks to process an application once all the documentation has arrived.” He folded his hands on the desk and leaned forward. “Do you have permanent residence on the colony or intend to aquire permanent residence?”
