After the meeting with the Director, Zerbo was tired and wanted to take a nap. Heading back to their hotel, Hoka knew now was his chance and he had to act fast. Once back at the hotel Zerbo went up while Hoka stayed outside. Once he knew Zerbo was in his room he last straight away to the Governor’s office.

Walking in to the reception area he looked at the receptionist. “Excuse me ma’am. My name is Dai’Mon Hoka and I have an urgent matter to discuss with the Governor. Would you please tell him I’m here to see him?” With that he waited.

Dai’Mon Hoka

The receptionist nodded and pressed a few commands on her desk. A moment later, she said “The Governor will see you now, Dai’Mon.” and the doors to the Governor’s office swung out and open.

Hyrushi stood in the center of the room and nodded at the Ferengi. “Dai’Mon, a pleasure. Please come in. I only have few minutes, but you said it was urgent. Have a seat.” and he directed the Dai’Mon to the seating area in front of the fireplace.

Hyrushi, Governor

“Thank you madam.” Hoka said and walked in to see the Governor. “Thank you sir for seeing me on short notice. Thank you the seat but it would take longer for me to get into a Hew-Mon chair than for me to say it. We got the permits for everything except the orbital trade facility. The Director said we need that permit from you. Given our previous conversation, I have beat Dai’Mon Ress Zerbo here to secure those permits. Once we get that built, we can stage everything we need to help colonize the planet and for me to one up Zerbo.” He waited for the Governor’s response and held his little hands together.

Dai’Mon Hoka

Hyrushi regarded the Ferengi with a flat look for a few long moments before nodding once and moving to his desk. He stood behind it and tapped a few commands. As he did, he said without looking up “I am pleased to see that you are moving forward with such alacrity, Dai’Mon Hoka. It shows me that the trust I have in our agreement is not misplaced.” He picked up a PaDD and looked at it, then walked back to where Hoka stood. Looking down, he held the PaDD out to the Dai’Mon and said “Your permits.”

Hoka smiled showing his razor sharp teeth and grabbed the PaDD but it did not release into his grasp. The Governor held on to it.

As the Ferengi’s hand closed on the device, Hyrushi didn’t let go. “I want to be very clear here, Dai’Mon… what you and I do here is for the betterment of teh colony. I will tolerate nothing interfering with that. So if something should arise that could prove… problematic… to that endeavor, I trust you will without fail notify me at once so we can address it. Agreed?” and he let the PaDD go.

Hyrushi, Gov.

“My dear Governor. I never go back on a deal, especially a very lucrative one. I have spent well over 2 Billion Latium since our last meeting and without profit. I trust that that counts for something. I am building up the Zoo and the entire college. I am very sincere in my endeavors for this colony. I will notify you of any and all progress, setbacks and problems. I will never hide anything from you. You have my word.”
