Karina settled Rondara in her class, a gentle squeeze on her shoulder letting her know she’d be back later, made sure the stand in teacher knew what the lesson as for the day and then she left the school building heading across the street to the governmental offices. She walked in, 10 minutes early, and up to the secretary. “Karina Enger, educational director. I have an appointment with the Governor today at 0915 along with a Mr Holloway.” Karina carried a medium sized shoulder bag that held three PaDDs with the information she’d collected over the last week since she’d taken over. Governor Hyrushi wanted results and had big plans. It was time to get started.

Enger, ED

The receptionist nodded and said “The Governor will be right with you. We are still expecting Mr. Holloway.” and she gestured to a seating area.

Reception

Karina nodded, “Thank you.” She sat and reached into her bag and pulled out a thermos of cold water. Something about Oed made her parched and she’d taken to carrying water with her. It was probably a matter of adjusting to the dome environment.

Enger, ED

The doors to the Governor’s office opened and B’tren-Hyrushi walked out. Dressed in a dark blue suit with a deep burgundy shirt under the jacket, he smiled at Enger. “Miss Enger. A pleasure to see you. Please, come in. Meridith, please send Mr. Holloway in when he arrives. Thank you.” and he stepped to the side to allow the Education Director to step inside his office.

Hyrushi, Governor

Karina stood and smiled with a nod of thanks to Meridith. She stepped inside as Hyrushi waved her through. She moved toward a seat, but didn’t sit. Instead she turned to him, excited to get started and to show him the rough plans she’d put together so far. “Governor Hyrushi, it’s a pleasure to see you so soon. Much has happened in the few days since we’ve talked.”
