Xavier had been preparing the crew list and all that was necessary to take the ship out on an extended run. He had informed the Governor that the Centurion and its crew would be running recon missions in and around the space of Oed and that he would be out of pocket for no less than thirty or more days.

What this meant was to run the ship lanes to have a presence on them, hit known and unknown pirate dens, visit some outposts and generally let everyone know that the Centurion was out in force.

The day finally came and the crew was present. He had asked Longstreet to be his XO and he had accepted as well as being the CoS. Lt. Martinez also come along as the Administrative Officer and as double duty as the Ops officer. She had more skills than just that of being the Captains executive assistant. The Captain saw a few faces he knew but not that many. He was ready.

“XO make ready to depart dock.” He called out.

He inwardly had not felt this good in a while.

“Aye Captain.” Longstreet called out. “Helm notify dock master that the Centurion is ready to move out. Once free of dock clamps thrusters until clear. Then engage quarter impulse. Coordinates Captain?”
