“I’d happily listen to you talking about engineering things till the end of time,” Kaili said softly and tenderly cupped Karilan’s cheek with one hand. “I love the passion I see in your eyes and hear in your voice when you talk about these things.” Leaning forward, she kissed them again. Tenderly at first, but quickly much more passionately. At the same time she moved her body, without breaking their kiss, so that she ended up sitting on their lap. She almost forgot that Karilan had asked a few questions and that she should probably answer those. So it was with a soft sigh and a little reluctantly that she broke their kiss and whispered, “He made me the new Director of Medical and Social Services. Without even asking beforehand if I want the job!” She laughed softly and shook her head before kissing Karilan again.

They kissed her back, their arms wrapping around her and pulling her close. Speaking softly between kisses, they said “How… does that… even happen?… Don’t… you need… to… agree… first?” A low, soft moan escaped them as Kaili settled more fully onto their lap.

Karilan

“You’d … think so,” Kaili replied, her lips never breaking contact with Karilan’s. Moving her hands over every inch of their body she could easily reach, she continued, “He told me … I could say no … if I had … three reason why … I’m not the best … choice for that … job … Still didn’t … really feel like … I had a say … in the matter,” she continued between kisses. By now she had wrapped her legs around their waist, the whole length of their torsos touching.

“Do… you… want… the… job… or… not…?” Karilan asked, their breathing becoming deeper and more rapid.

Karilan

Breaking their kiss, Kaili looked thoughtfully at Karilan and whispered, “I think so and I already said yes. I felt like I had to make a decision right away.” Chewing slightly on her lower lip, her expression suddenly turned from thoughtful to mischievous. Starting just below their earlobe, she kissed her way along their jawline and down their neck till her lips touched their collarbone. And then suddenly her lips were right next to their ear again and she whispered seductively, “Stay here. I’ll be right back.” And with that she slipped off Karilan’s lap, out of the bathtub and then even out of the room altogether.

Karilan watched her leave, mesmerized by her body and grace, and then settled back into the water. They were anxious, but in a good way. They lowered themselves under the water and let the warmth surround them for several long moments before slowly raising themselves back up. They looked around and said “Kaili? Are you all right? Can I help?”

In that exact moment Kaili walked back into the bathroom. Her eyes sparkling and her expression full of mischievousness. In her hands she was holding a box. The same one from earlier. “Maybe,” she grinned and and then purred, “How do you feel about trying something else?”

Karilan’s eyes went wide and they grinned and said softly… “Um… what else is in the box?”

After finding their way back into Karilan’s bed, Kaili had drifted off to sleep. Nestled as close to Karilan as possible. It was some hours later, that Kaili slowly returned to consciousness. As she opened her eyes, a wide and tender smile lit up her face. She tried no to move as she watched Karilan, so that she wouldn’t wake them up. She was still fill with surprise and wonder by everything that happened, everything they had said. But most of all she was filled with happiness. She had never imagined to fall so quickly and so deeply in love with someone. And yet that was exactly what had happened.
