A lot to wrap my head around,” Kaili admitted unashamedly. “Though there is one question I already have: Am I free to hire whom ever I deem qualified or do I have to run those things by anyone first?”

“Your department, your decision. The only thing they must do form the Government side is pass the security screening. Other than that, you may hire whomever you want. But, as is said, with great power comes great responsibility. You will be held responsible for the performance of your department. Make sure you hire those who will make that a non-issue.”

“Of course, Governor,” Kaili replied with a nod, already compiling new to-do-lists in her head. “Is there anything else I should know or that we should talk about at this moment?” she asked before finishing the rest of her tea.

Hyrushi smiled slightly and said “No, I don’t think so. But please… if I can help with anything, do not hesitate to ask.”

“I will. Thank you, Governor,” Kaili replied and rose to her feet. “I should get going. I have a lot of work waiting for me. Have a good day.” And with that she placed the cup on his desk and turned around before heading towards the door to leave his office.
