She was dressing up a bit for dinner. Though nothing she couldn’t fight or flee in if necessary. The black leggings were tucked into calf high matching ebony boots. And her hair hung loose down her back, save for a single barrette keeping the top layer off her face. She wore a sapphire blue top that hung almost to her knees in the front and all the way to her calves in the back. Underneath were a small blade in her right boot in the special slot for it to keep it near the top and handy, and another in the holder on her left leg near her inner thigh. Anyone patting her down would only feel the top of what felt like garters.

Katherine knocked on Michael’s cabin door hoping he was in there getting ready for dinner. She didn’t relish the start of the activities without him. She resettled her dress once more and waited, glancing up and down the hall at a couple of passing crewmen eyeing her outside the Captain’s private quarters.
