USS Merrimack
Pre Sim - Deep Space K-5 - Comm Call
It was a few days later the Merrimack had just entered dock and settled in for repairs and refit ship wide, when Commodore Brians hailed to have Captain Glen report to his station in the next hour or so. The message was relaxed showing it wasn’t urgent.
Glen didn’t have a full schedule. There were a couple of officer transfers to meet and greet, and some discharges to approve, nothing that he couldn’t delegate to Kord, but Glen liked to meet all of his crew personally and learn their names. It wasn’t a huge ship, so it felt like an extended family. He scanned down the list but there was no one stood out, except for maybe MCPO Robert Mooney, who at 52-years-old was going to be the second oldest man aboard, and that was something, given that no one was ever going to beat Kord to the oldest.
Glen would need to visit Sickbay for a checkup following the temporal anomalies that had plagued him and knocked him unconscious. He had made a perfect recovery, so that was just a formality. He’d never felt better.
Further down his calendar he saw the message hail from Commodore Brians. For some strange reason, Glen kept reading the name as Commodore Brains, but no, it was definitely Brians. It wasn’t marked urgent so he would have Faith make an appointment for later in the afternoon.
His first task was to allow Leave to the station in a rota, splitting the crew into three shifts, and allowing the lower decks to visit K-5 first. He signed that authorisation and then worked his way through the other tasks.
=/\= Faith, please make an appointment with Commodore Brians on K-5 for me later today. You could ask him what it’s about without being too obvious. Ask if I need to bring anything in particular, something like that. =/\=
=/\= Aye, Captain. Right away. =/\= Faith replied.
