Turning from the helm station, the NE there stated, “..Sirs? We’ve reached the minimum safe distance from any stellar anomalies to run the device. You may want to alert the Captain and XO if they arent already aware..” he said.

William moved to the Captain’s chair and hit the comm button [O]Bridge to Captain Glen and Commander Kord, we have arrived and are prepared to begin[O] He spoke clearly if a bit loudly.

A few minutes later Kord entered the bridge.

“Report.” he called out as he took his position next to the Captain’s chair.

“We’re here, Sir,” Hal said. “I think that we can start this phase of the operation at any time.”

A few minutes later Daniel came over the comms =/\= Commander Kord. We are ready down in the cargo bay and engineering. If you could have helm initiate a holding pattern and warp bubble of up to warp 8 we can begin..=/\= He said.

William turned around to his instruments, he wanted to see firsthand what was going to happen “Now we see if this works or if it blows up in our faces, literally” He said perhaps a little to loudly and a far too filled with glee.

It was so tense on the Bridge that you could cut the atmosphere with a knife. Dariusz looked from Navigation to his partner in crime, the NE sitting next to him at Helm, and raised an eyebrow in support. What were they really doing out here? It seemed like the senior staff were paralysed and unable to give the final order to start that ‘secret’ machine. That machine that everyone on board knew was being built down in the Cargo Hold. If it was so dangerous, didn’t the crew have a right to know what it was? A holding pattern and a Warp Bubble didn’t seem very perilous, even when they were in space bandit territory, right on the border of the Klingon Empire, so it had to involve more than that. Did the CSO just say something about ‘blowing up’? On a dangerous mission of this kind it’s always someone could be be killed. Dariusz looked around the Bridge to see if there was a Redshirt that he had never seen before, but there was only this NE at Helm.

A moment later Daniel spoke again =/\= Commander Kord, we are ready here. I have begun the sequence power up, awaiting steady power supply of warp 8 in a holding pattern before proceeding further..=/\= He said.

William turned around in his swivel chair, an undeniably enjoyable experience, and looked at the towering XO “We’re ready, sir.” He said for the Bridge crew, although it wasn’t a necessary thing to say at all.

Kord took a deep breath. He was wary but they were committed.

“Engage program.” he ordered.

Kord hoped they wouldn’t regret their actions.
