With the Merrimack clear of the Nebula the ship went to warp and was on its way to the edge of clear unclaimed space for their big science experiment. ETA remaining till their arrival would be just about done as the chief engineer would finish up their final simulations.

The Captain had returned to his quarters where he could remove the backpack for a respite. He left Kord with the Bridge.

William fed the engineering computers with information from the nearby area with the external sensors. Hopefully, they could be finished with this soon, honestly, it was mostly so he could take apart the Captains new time-suit and design a new one.

Designs from Grunch on how he had built the suit were in the computer now so analyzing this wouldnt be much of a challenge and the CSO could do so at his leisure.

Hal busied himself with.running internal security scans of the ship. The sweeps might not reveal much. But, they were standard operating procedures.

Hal’s internal and external scans for that matter turned up nothing dangerous, things were quite quiet aboard and around the ship thankfully, which was great given they were about to begin a risky experiment.

William took a glance at the files then sent a copy to both his private terminal and his workstation in the main labs. He also typed up a message to the Chief Medical Officer on a time delay thanking him for the new hobby to be sent in two days time.

“So I wonder what compels an an alien, not just a Tellarite, to sign on as the CMO of a ship full of other species of humanoids. Mainly humans?” Hal asked to nobody in particular.

William took a moment to consider the question “A doctor is a Doctor, and I think that humans have a tendency to need a doctor more so than many other Federation Species.” he speculated, he had considered that question himself at times.

CSO

Turning from the helm station, the NE there stated, “..Sirs? We’ve reached the minimum safe distance from any stellar anomalies to run the device. You may want to alert the Captain and XO if they arent already aware..” he said.

William moved to the Captain’s chair and hit the comm button [O]Bridge to Captain Glen and Commander Kord, we have arrived and are prepared to begin[O] He spoke clearly if a bit loudly.

CSO

A few minutes later Kord entered the bridge.

“Report.” he called out as he took his position next to the Captain’s chair.
