He set the radius to extend eight light minutes more than the diameter of the system so that no matter where in system it was detonated, the entire system would be affected. He designed the setup for a two day duration and anything over warp one point two would generate subspace turbulence around a ship strong enough to critically damage propulsion and shielding systems in moments. : : : : : : : : :  : : : : : : : : Having searched the corridor and not seeing anything else that was odd, Remi returned to the Ward Room. As he habitually does, he glanced out of the window and saw someone in the shuttle bay. He recognized the Executive Officer right away. Hustling out of the Ward Room and into the Shuttle Bay. While it wasn’t really necessary due to the acoustics in the Bay, Remi did raise his voice a bit to make sure he could be heard. : : : : : : : :  : : : : : : : : “Commander, I didn’t see you enter. I am Lieutenant Buchanan, I am the duty officer here. Do you require a pilot?”  : : : : : : : :  : : : : : : : Kord turned to Remmi and gave a slight nod and smile of greeting. : : : : : : :  : : : : : : : “Actually what I need is a work space sufficient to accommodate two shuttles, then I need a portable shop and access to an industrial replicator. If we can’t get an industrial replicator then I have a grocery list of parts that I will need.” : : : : : : :  : : : : : : Remi thought for a moment as he looked around the bay. Mariner Class ships are equipped with a standard compliment of five shuttles located within a two story shuttle bay. There are six bays where the shuttles are stored with the sixth being a repair bay capable of supporting the maintenance of the shuttles. : : : : : :  : : : : : : Pointing to the repair bay, then the named shuttles in turn, Remi replied; : : : : : : “Bodwell is just finishing up her 2000 hour maintenance cycle. She was scheduled to be operational later today. If I move her onto the inactive gantry above Pawtucket, then that should give you your two bay work space.” : : : : : :  : : : : : : “Engineer Mate 3rd class Isherwood is in charge of the maintenance bay, but I believe we have an industrial replicator located within it. Let me check with him.” With a smile Remi walked away to find the enlisted crewman to get the Exec. the info he wanted.  : : : : : :  : : : : : Kord nodded. “That should be more than adequate.” : : : : :  : : : : : Kord began heading to the repair bay to inventory the tools available. : : : : :  : : : : At this point, Captain Glen contacted his XO =/\= Kord, three things of note… I’ve asked the COS to liaise with you over this Torpedo you wish to deploy. Are you absolutely sure it is safe? Lt Trainor from the Ark Angel has remained behind to assist us with the Boron Particle. I have lifted the restrictions on our crew. Also, we need a new Helm officer as NE Wherethehellarewe left us at Deep Space Seven. See if there are any fly boys down in the Shuttlebays that we can promote. I will be on the Bridge. The Captain told me to report to you. What can I do to be of assistance?” : : :  : : : Nkosenye, CoS : :  : : Kord looked over and the giant of a man. He still had the broad genuine smile on his face. : :  : : “Depends, how is your quantum and sub-space field theory?” : :  : : Kord, XO :  : Nkosenye cocked his head to the side and crossed his arms over his massive chest. While he didn’t smile, there was a glint in his eye. “Lacking. But I have very steady hands and advanced training in ordinance arming and disposal. Many un-exploded bombs in the area where I grew up. And even more zealots with the desire to do harm on a large scale. And I take direction well. If you would like to handle the scientific theory, I can help with the hardware.” :  : Nkosenye, CoS : Buchanan and Isherwood worked to get the shuttle out of the sixth bay and into storage. This gave Commander Kord and Nkosenye a good place to work on their project. : Seeing as he would not be needed for a mission, Remi approached the Exec and stated, “Sir, since you will not be needing me, I’ll return to my duty station.” : Lt JG Remi Buchanan
Kord nodded to Remi and turned to Knosenye.
“First we need a time space driver coil, a phase amplifier, and a graviton projector.” Kord told Kosenye, “The Graviton projector is going to be the heaviest component as it’s the basic component of tractor beam technology.”
