The golden-silver transport ended and a 7ft tall by 7ft around oval like crystal was left in its spot. Looking much like an egg of sorts. =/\= NE Fraz to the Captain. We got a uh.....big honking crystal down here, which seems to be pulsing in a manner consistent which our tricorders say is life.....I think? I’m not sure but it seems humanoid, though I’m not sure how given we got this big honking crystal..=/\= He said looking over the ‘gift’.

After a pause during which some background discussion on the Bridge could be heard, Glen replied: =/\= NE Fraz, Security and the CSO should be with you in a moment. I advised extreme caution. Since the crystal package is evidently addressed to me personally, I guess I should come down and be the one to open it, so I’m coming down shortly too. =/\=

Hal entered the cargo bay as soon as he could. He looked around, and said, “I want everyone in here to clear our. Except for my security officers.”

Then he pushed the button on the nearby wall communications panel.

”..Aye sir..” Came from the various NEs and they filed out of the bay.

=/\=Security to the Captain. The cargo bay is secure. =/\=

=/\= I’ll be with you shortly. You shot off so fast, but I decided I needed to come too. =/\= Glen replied.

The turbolift arrived and Glen exited. He hadn’t appreciated that the crystal would be so large and that was the first thing that struck him. At 7ft tall by 7ft , the egg-like crystal dominated the Cargo Hold.

“This is a mystery!” exclaimed Glen. “Let’s take a look. Sensor readings, Mr. Brown?”

Hal opened a nearby storage locker and took out a tricorder. “Scanning for lifesigns, energy readings, and composition, Sir,” he said.
