William watched the action with great interest through his scanner screen hoping that he might catch a glimpse of something useful. So far all he’d done was scan fish, lock a cat up and look up color codes. He knew that sometimes there were limits to what he could use his mind for but it was still frustrating that he hadn’t been able to help much.

For William when he would check for some kind of communication network from the pyramid to where Rogers was he would have to scan the upper end of the scanning spectrum to pick up signals which matched advanced quantum entanglement devices similar but different then subspace communication networks that the Federation and others used. This thread of scanning now that he knew what to look for connected both from the pyramid and Roger’s comet station to a third station in a close orbit to the system’s solar body! EM interference though from the sun prevented a clear scan result, they would need to move closer or launch probes to get better readings.

When Glen heard the Orb’s reply that there were 3 ‘monitoring stations,’ he wondered where the third could possibly be. He waited again while Tinga asked the Orb what the stations were monitoring. He still wished he had gone down on the shuttle, instead of sitting in the Captain’s chair. He felt so out of control. He was glad that he had Tinga down there. At least she was asking all the right questions.

Glen didn’t want to preempt Tinga a second time, but he was eager that she ask the next obvious question i.e. What were the stations monitoring? and could barely contain himself. For the moment, he did remain silent, and simply watched.
