Seals showed green, and there was a breathable atmosphere on the other side of the rock like air lock. But how they would open or move said rock ‘door’ was a hurdle they would have to figure out. Also given the pressures of the water outside the shuttle whether they wore a suit or not was really intangible given the pressure if they were exposed to it would crush them quickly either way.

Jasper looked for a switch or lever to help possibly open the stone airlock door. He even scanned with his tricorder to see if there was a hidden panel or latch of some type. “I am trying to find some way to gain entry through the massive stone door. ” Jasper said calmly as he did an in-depth scan.

As Jasper looked for a means of entry he found a small hand sized rectangular slot to his left in the airlock of stone. Maybe something was within its dark reaches?

If Jasper couldn’t find a proper means of entry Tinga was half tempted to see if they could beam through but she wanted other options first.

“Suits? Well, can you get a temperature reading before I make that call?” she asked.

Tinga could check that the temperature inside the stone structure that they could scan was a nice 70 degree F

Jasper scans did not reveal any traps so he placed his hand in the black hole type opening as he started to feel around for a switch or trigger to open the massive stone door. “I got something as he tripped the mini lever inside the wall.” As he pulled out his arm from the wall.

The lever did indeed begin to open the stone airlock which rolled aside on weighted unseen mechanisms in the walls. Inside the entryway was dark only lit by the bit of light from the interior of the shuttle. It seems they would need to break out the field hand lights to proceed further if they didn’t want to stumble around in the dark.

“The palm beacons or palm lights should work to give us proper lighting.” Jasper said calmly as he started to get them out of the locker near him. as he turned them all on and off to make sure they were operational. “I can also run a line for lighting down the corridor?” Jasper said calmly to the others.
