My crew has finished configuring our weapons and defenses as we outlined, as well as prepared the torpedoes with the particles we brought with us for this fight. They’ve also confirmed our findings during our meeting that the Serpent’s rear areas of their ships are more vulnerable to attack due to higher energy emissions interfering with the shielding forms they use. We’ve also begun scans of the area of this reality and time period, as well as temporal scans here and in subspace looking for the signs of where the Serpents may arrive. So far we are showing nothing, but given their emergence seemed tied to this region I would theorize it is only a matter of time till something shows up. What is your status then? =/\= She asked.

At the least they can be kept appraised if you think it wise on things. In either case, I am going to move my ship to 30,000km outside the system here to began more in depth scans, the local solar radiation is having some effect on the clarity of our quantum scans. Perhaps you might investigate the third planet? Maybe it might shed some light on why on our time it is destroyed and if its tied to these Serpents..=/\= She suggested, =/\= Unless you have a better idea? =/\= She inquired obviously willing to go with anything better Glen might suggest, again showing her more team work approach compared to the last round of 24th century Captain’s he had to deal with.

Freshly dressed Cross entered the bridge and made it quietly behind Glen’s chair listening , the female doctor then leaned over ‘’Captain just so you would know we have two new born babies onboard while the mother is doing fine’’ she whispered.

Cross was not expecting any answer instead she focused on the conversation between the two Captains.

Glen was rather happy they would have something to do that didn’t involve playing second fiddle in the grand symphony that was the fate of the Universe.

Glen waited on Andone’s reply then turned back to the Bridge.

“Thank you for the personal update, Dr Cross. I hope the mother is doing well?” replied Glen.

‘’Yes Sir she is,may need some bld transfusion but apart from that mother needs to rest’’ she glanced at the Yeoman ‘’So don’t expect her any time soon’‘.

Glen looked to the missing position at Helm and wondered when Kord was ever going to assign him a new Helm officer.

“Navigation, please take over at Helm. Set a course for the planet SFLAS J0013+02 (AB) c. Warp 5,” Glen announced.

NE Navs spoke up, “…Err sir? The planet you’re indicating is only 900,000 km away we could get there on full impulse in a few moments. Plus warping in system if I may remind the Captain is dangerous, and really I’ve never done it much beyond the simulator in emergency training runs..” he said.

‘’Just inform the engineering dept about the orders ‘’ Cross chirped in before her hand went up to cover her big mouth,as she remembered the last time the doctor sat in the Captain’s chair supposedly taking care of the ship.She did wonder whether her actions then were the result of them being here now…what if Cross had ordered to fire back at the Serpent’s ship and send it into oblivious ?.

“Really? It looked further away before,” replied Glen. “I’d better make an appointment with the Ship’s Optician… …Just take us there at full impulse then.”

That was it, Glen thought. Kord was spending too much time on these weapons and totally neglecting his role in human resources.

=/\= Glen to Kord. Kord, I’m still waiting for you to send me a new Helm officer. Also, isn’t about time we promoted someone to Chief Engineer? That business with the Boron Particle shows how vital it is for us to have a Chief Engineer in place. Please make a decision and get them in place immediately. Your weapons project is important for us to defeat the ‘Dark Serpents’ but you cannot let it be responsible for you neglecting your other duties. Glen out! =/\=

He then looked to the Comm station where Bre would normally rule supreme, which now had Yeoman Hopkins as temporary cover.

“Please open a secure channel to Starfleet Command. Code factor 1.” Glen announced.

After a moment Hopkins spoke “..Subspace encoded channel open to Starfleet Command sir..” they said. “..Audio only for now until the video uplink catches up..”

Glen replied to the Admiral. =/\= Good progress made, I think, although I have to say that if we hadn’t already experience time travel, some of the revelations might be mind blowing. We have made contact with the 24th Century ship and had a meeting where we shared information on the ‘Dark Serpents’. It appears that while the threat is much larger in the future, they are more vulnerable to attack in the here and now. We are also preparing a weapon that should be effective against them and halt their advances. We have experienced some sub-space anomalies that I can only describe as ‘ghosts’ but have been instructed on how to counteract those. We also found a hidden ‘Boron Particle’, something akin to an ‘Omega Particle’ which the 24th Century engineers dealt with for us. I think that may have been an attempted attack upon us. It seems that these 24th Century officers deal with a good many things on a frequent basis that we would find almost fantastical. The Captain of the ship is the daughter of the Romulan Commander Andon, who I have liaised with on several occasions. So, there are Romulans in Starfleet, as well as talking antelopes. There has been a lot to take in. Our next mission is to investigate the third planet of a local system, a planet that has disappeared in the future. The idea is that the disappearance must be significant to this mission. Also sir, apparently as regards time travel, the Merrimack has some special property of protection… I admit I don’t understand the science behind it… but as a result of our earlier time travelling we have been charmed and are immune to some attacks. =/\=

Willam turned around in his swivel chair. The future was an intimidating place for sure. He wondered if he had any ancestors there, children of his own or if his family line dies with him. He truly wasn’t getting any younger.
