‘’Shall we get on with her orders ?’’ he asked Guy.

“Coordinating teams and conducting boarding exercises for you to beat everyone else?” Guy asked Sharp.

Sharp sat down on the floor shaking his head ‘’ No ,actually I prefer to hid in the shadows . I did check the weapons everything is in order . As for the drill that’s not my job but for the new COS ‘’ he replied staring at an imaginary spot ‘’ I do hope he/she would be a level headed human ‘’.

“Yeah! I guess that level-headedness is wonderful leadership quality in a human when the kind of chaos we are used to descends, ” replied Guy, “but I think I’d settle for someone with soul but not a soldier!”

Guy decided to sit down too. “I suppose that we can have a really good think about possible teams and boarding exercises here until someone gives us something else to do instead?”

They sat for a while in quiet contemplation before Guy said, “I wonder if we will get any new security officers as well as this new COS? We’ve lost more than a few. Do you remember Gilbert and his phaser coolant accident? There was also William, killed by the thorns fired from those poisonous walking plants? Or Norman, the new Cadet who actually volunteered for the landing party, you know, like a real hero?”

Sharp’s eyes widened , he had no idea about them ‘’Hej bro , you’re scaring me ‘’ he replied ‘’Guess being assigned on the bridge or sickbay wasn’t so bad after all ‘’.

“Sorry!” Guy replied.

After some time he said, “I sometimes get bored just standing guard on the Bridge or Sickbay… I never thought I’d say this, but Landing Parties make life interesting… while it lasts obviously. Heh! Who wants to live forever?”

Richard went on with what he could remember ‘’Somber ain’t it’‘

“Heh! Heh! What is this thing that builds our dreams and yet tips ‘em ‘way from us?” Guy added. “Oh! Yes, it’s called a Chief of Security!”

’’ Say do you know something about our new D’H that I don’t know?’’ Sharp asked looking intensely at Guy , as if by doing so he would be able to read his mind.

“Me?” asked Guy, “Do I look like the kind of person who would hack into Comms between the ship and Starfleet Command to get information like that? It’s just no worth the risks! …but I did look through the manifest of the what we brought aboard from DS-K5… and apart from a lot of high grade alloy steel plate and some odd foods, well there was nothing that stood out really. I do know that the Captain’s Yeoman is leaving and also taking that Cat with her. There are quite a few crew coming and leaving this cycle… …So, all of that Andorian Cabbage Soup, well that could be for anyone really…”

’’ Andorian cabbage soup!’’ Sharp exclaimed ‘’Nobody likes that except an Andorian’’ he then looked at the entrance, half expecting an Andorian to materialize with those two antennas stuck on his head.

“I think Cabbage Soup has become a delicatessen food item now, but I wondered about that too,” replied Guy, following Sharp’s gaze in case someone had come in. “Still, even if we do have an Andorian on the crew roster again, that doesn’t mean that they will be the new COS.”

’’ I suppose ‘’ Sharp replied , at that moment his communicator bleeped before he flicked it open he turned to Guy ‘’Guess its him or her ‘’ but what he heard was Hunter ‘s voice. =/\= Hunter from sickbay if you are sitting idle may I ask you to come and distribute hyposprays in each dept , especially in the transporter room ..acknowledge =/\=

The doctor knew that there were medical kits there for those who would be transported ,he wanted to make sure they had the jab against radiation even if it meant simple as a precaution .

The security turned to Guy ‘’What should I tell him? ‘’.

“Tell him we are already far too busy down here,” replied Guy, “what with all of this team coordination and boarding exercise planning that we’ve been assigned to do! Anyway, what happened to medical orderlies? I heard they sent Watkins and Howard door to door on Deck 3 to collect up garbage. That’s not in our job description either - ‘As a security officer, your role will include patrolling corridors and labs, securing doors, monitoring cameras, responding to alarms, standing around on the Bridge, checking IDs, and dying on away missions.Oh! And also we’ve just added the distribution of medical supplies and the collection of waste and recycling!’”

‘’You sure know how to lie mate ‘’ Sharp responded back =/\= Sorry doctor at the moment we are busy em, engaged in a drill=/\= . He closed his communicator ‘’ He said it’s okay ,sorry to have bothered you ‘’ then wen on ‘’You know once I got him in real trouble , not that I did it intentionally ‘’ and for awhile Sharp stood quiet thinking about that faithful day.

“You have to tell that story now,” Guy told Richard. “You can’t leave something like that hanging. Don’t worry, Hunter will never know you told me!”

‘’Weeeeeeeeell....’’ Sharp began ‘’I was stationed on the bridge and heard the crew saying a ship was approaching ,when my shift ended I headed to sickbay and told the security there ‘’ at that point he started to laugh ‘’Hunter who back then was ACMO heard me ,apparently he was livid that no one had informed sickbay and he headed to the bridge foaming at the mouth. What I failed to mention was that this ship was about three days away from reaching us and I unintentionally made the good doctor look like a moron !’’ he finished off still laughing.

“It’s not only Hunter who would do that though!” replied Guy. “There are a lot of officers here who act before they have all the information. My mate at Starfleet Academy security school used to call it something… Oh! Yes! …speaking before you put your brain into gear. …he was from a low-tech world that still used mechanically geared land cars. I guess it loses something in translation.”

“We should probably tell someone that we’ve finished now? It’s only going to get harder to explain why we took so long to write a rota and to jot down three ideas,” said Guy.

‘’I suppose ‘’ Sharp replied,as he was about to get up Kate entered with a bunch of hyposprays ‘’ Against radiation just in case ‘’ she informed them while wondering why these two security were sitting on the floor , she was about to tell them that the ship was going through the Expanse but decided to inform them only that their new D’H was on the bridge.
