USS Merrimack

The Dragon

The morning after her day on the station Stella had shown up still wondering where D’Nesh had gotten to but then she was a grown woman and shouldn’t need watched all the time As soon as she went into the Dragon though she noticed several things. Joe had a broad smirk on his face and there was the pile of goods that she and D’Nesh had brough the previous day. She then asked Joe for one of his strong coffees at which point he started to chuckle.

As he poured the coffee, he teased Stella asking her. ” Late night missy?” She smiled and laughed saying.” I had a nice night yes but not the way your dirty mind is thinking!” She sipped from the coffee and then made up her mind to tell Joe. She just couldn’t keep her happiness locked away. ” I met a gentleman. ” she said simply before she leaned across the bar close to Joe as if she were imparting a huge secret. ” A gentleman Joe! He asked if I would like to walk with him of all things!” she laughed. She shrugged then and continued. ” We strolled around the station. Talking. Yes, that’s right conversing like humans. He showed me all the shops; we stopped at a few coffee shops and pastry stores. We then found a quiet little corner where there few people gazing out at the view and we talked about each other and how we felt about things And not once was I grabbed or fondled! ” Stella shook her head as if she couldn’t believe the whole thing
.>>>She stopped story then as she pointed to the packages on the counter. ” I had some boys on the station bring these over. I hope you don’t mind. ” She sighed and smiled a dreamy smile and laughed because of the way Joe was looking at her all amused. ” Anyway, those are presents for you and Crosses baby. Watch out for the big crate one. It’s kind of expensive. ”

Then seeing the look Joe was still giving her she laughed and said,” Well DUH. Yes I did ! He’s a great kisser. His hugs are to die for and hes single. And I might add a girl needs something nice in her life every once in a while. Still laughing then she thanked Joe for the coffee and departed a goofy grin plastered to her face.
