He tossed and turned unable to sleep ,it seemed every time he closed his eyes he would see them , their skin and hair white as snow ,their faces looking at him with unseen eyes . Hunter realized he had to talk to someone but who? Cross had not been part of the mission and just knew what was told, M’Mera he hardly knew the COS besides she was trained in a different way .He’s best option had to be Glen with his years of experience and wisdom and most importantly he too had been present during the last mission . Hunter thought about it perhaps more then he should until finally after much consideration decided to contact him .

=/\= Captain , doctor Hunter here, I’m sorry to disturb you but would you find time for me to came to your office ,nothing serious really but I feel the need to speak to someone =/\= . After he ended the call the man wondered if he had made the right decision.

Hunter headed to the Ready Room ,he found the door open and stepped in ,gave Glen a nod ‘’ Thank you Sir for finding the time to see me , much appreciated’‘.

“Your welcome,” Glen replied. “It has been a busy day, with some new crew to see, but I’ve wanted to see you since we got back from the last planet.”

Glen continued, “I think our relationship has been a little shaky at times. You were never given enough clearly defined expectations from the hierarchy. Also, our intra-ship communication channels needed much improvement. This led to the problems that you had with trust, and as a result, you often came across as distant, and as someone seeking admiration from others. I want to apologise for that, because I’ve come to see that you are neither a vain nor a conceited man at all.”

‘’Please Captain you don’t need to apologies ,I know many see me as having an excessively favorable opinion of my abilities and appearance but that is not who I am .You have come to know me on the mission before the last one which brings me as to reason I wanted to see you ‘’ Hunter lowered his head ‘’ I felt and still feel incompetent ,lacking the ability in helping those poor beings who’s DNA has been manipulated , making them blind and as a doctor had been unable to help.

Glen added, “I do appreciate that working under Dr. Cross can be quite stressful and that you are simply a man who likes order and who is frustrated without a clear hierarchical management structure. You should know that Dr. Cross thinks very highly of you. You are also an intelligent man, and a very fine surgeon. I was also very impressed by your leadership on the last mission, getting the officers and crew to use that climbing gear safely, and making sure we didn’t get lost underground.”

‘’Working with Cross isn’t stressful at all ‘’ he raised his head and looked directly at the Captain ‘’Some times I view her as a sister that needs help , I know its not my business her partner left her twice, the last time I just held her as she sobbed her heart out,now she is pregnant with his child and I wonder will he leave her a third time ? ‘’ he shook his head sadly.

Glen obviously knew much more about that subject than he could divulge. It was a shame that Joe Milligan was getting all the heat, for what an evil ancient alien race from the Andromeda Galaxy, and across Time itself, had done, but then Joe was big enough to take it on his chin and to keep walking.

“Anyhow,” Glen said, “I think it is long overdue, but I would like to promote you to the position of full Lieutenant, effective today!”

This took him completely by surprise , he even wondered if he had heard the Captain correct .Hunter gave a proper salute , lost for words all he could say was ‘’Thank you Captain’‘.
