The Cmdr had promised to keep her informed yet she had heard nothing. Cross stepped on the bridge looking around she saw Morris and gave him a nod, then made a beeline to where Cara was ‘’Any news or new developments ? ‘’ the CMO asked clearly worried about the away party ‘’ Do we have any knowledge of their status and situation ? ‘’.

Morris returned the nod and focused on working with the transporters to help lock onto the away team.

“Thank you, Ms. Cara and Mr. Morris. I appreciate your assistance.” Lt. Cmdr. Sanks stated to the scientist and security officer. “Doctor, I was about to check in with you. We have made orbit again around the planet, we have setup security at the transporters as a just in case, we will need some medical staff there as well, in case anyone needs it. We have worked out that we can safely lock on and transport from the surface, but the team that is further underground the planet, is a little more risky to attempt, and advised against transporting them until they get surface side.” He replied to Doctor Cross.

Cross nodded relieved that they had made contact ‘’ Thanks Cmdr , I’m sure the Captain will give the orders for beaming them up in a cautious and secure manner for all concerned ‘’.

Having know Glen more then anyone else she knew his first priority would be the crew’s safety ‘’Hopefully it won’t be long before they are all safely back and not in any serious and immediate danger ‘’ for the CMO the hours seemed to drag on and on.

“Maybe we ought to bring up the Engineer’s group from the surface while we still can?” Cara asked. “…in case the Transporter goes on the fritz again? I wish I was down there speaking with Aenar. They are a very unusual species to find.”

’’ I believe it would be safer to bring them up in a shuttle ‘’ Cross replied looking at the Cmdr waiting for his opinion on the matter.

’’ Maybe you will ‘’ the CMO replied ‘’ To be honest I don’t know why the Captain did not take you as well and left ..em what’s her name ah Stella at the comms but then again how was he to know of their existence ‘’.

“If I had known it wasn’t just Federation miners I would have jumped at the chance,” Cara replied. “We just thought it was a communications fault. That was why Stella went.”

“I see your point, about the safety of the transporter, but do we really want to risk more people going down there in a shuttle?” He asked, thinking out loud. “But, if that shield thing happens to come back online, and we have to face that issue again, a shuttle would probably be the better option. Officer Meow, would you like to go in the shuttle to the planet? You may have your chance to speak with the Aenar when you land.” Sanks continued.

“Of course, Sir!” Cara replied to Sanks.

‘’That is also my concern if that interference come back on again during transposition we’ll have a pile of pulps on the transporter pads ‘’ Cross replied shuddering at the very thought and with good reason for she new next to nothing about what was happening ‘’ May I suggest Morris as a security go with Cara as well?’‘. The CMO knew the security well from her experience with him when everything on the ship stopped working .

“Yes. His experience has proven valuable during this mission.” Lt. Cmdr. Sanks agreed with CMO Cross. “Maybe take a medical officer as well, just in case, they need some more medical supplies or treatments on the way back. We haven’t heard anyone has been injured yet, but they might have gotten scrapped or bruised by brushing up against something, or had an episode planetside like I had up here…” He stated, continuing his reasoning.

Cross bit on her lower lip thinking ‘’ Cmdr in that case I’ll go down myself as the only doctor left in sickbay is doctor Kim ‘’ she knew Kim well enough , not only had he never been off the ship but his expertise was plastic surgery ‘’As long as he is working in sickbay doctor Kim has no problem but change that and he would go in a catatonic state ‘’ though it was true Cross did say it with a hint of humor in her tone ‘’ He’ll only cause more problems then assist ‘’ the CMO finished off.

Morris got up from his station and head to Cross and Cara, “If we’re heading down, I can prep the shuttle and you two can meet me there?” He was happy that he had proved so dependable so soon. He was most comfortable when he could be of some service. “Should I stop by the armory to make sure we all have phasers available?” He wasn’t sure of the two’s preference for weapons, if they had any, or if he’d be the main one handling any potential dangers.

“And will you fly?” Cara asked. “I’m not the best pilot.”

’’ You should be armed ‘’ Cross replied after all which security wasn’t, then looked at Cara ‘’ What about you? As for myself I never carry a phaser just tend to stay close by any security ‘’ .

“I’ll also stick close to Clifford,” replied Cara. “In any case, I do have claws when needed.”

Now the CMO addressed Sanks ‘’ Cmdr I have to hear your order to go down with the shuttle as planned? ‘’ Cross was not about to do something that was not a direct order from the Cmdr , she knew the chain of commands all too well .

“Understood,” Morris said to them both, “I can fly us down once the Commander gives the OK.” He turned to the commander, “How many personnel are planet-side, sir? I want to know if we’ll be needing to make multiple trips.”

With both of them preferring to forego phasers, Morris could just worry about himself and a phaser. A hand phaser should do just fine, considering there didn’t seem to be any current danger still on the planet.

Cross did not doubt what Cara’s claws could do or her tail for that matter . She had promised Joe to go to the dragon bar ,did not anticipate that she may need to go down on the planet .
* Oh well guess I’ll have to heat it when we’re back she thought * And face the wrath of my baby’s father .

“Doctor Cross, are you forgetting the new ensign we picked up at the Starbase before this mission? Even if nothing happens, and he’s not needed, it’ll be good experience for him, don’t you think?” Lt. Cmdr. Sanks suggested. An engineer officer came up to him and whispered in his ear. “Dr. Cross, as the second highest ranking officer here, could you take the bridge for just a second, this officer needs to talk to me in private?” He asked the doctor.

‘’No Cmdr I have not forgotten but he never came to sickbay to be cleared for duty ‘’ Cross replied in a neutral tone ‘’There was a time when something similar happened and the crew member had some health issues while he was on the mission........ lets just say the Captain was fuming and that’s putting it mildly ‘’.

It seemed Cross was back taking the bridge whether she wanted to or not =/\= Captain a shuttle with Cara and Morris are about to land on the planet surface were Guy and Stella are =/\=.

=/\= I see… We found the source of the interference and have neutralised it, but if the shuttle is coming down anyway… Cara would have liked to have met who we met, but sadly I don’t believe she will today. =/\= Captain Glen replied

She gave a nod to Morris ‘’ Take it down and keep me informed ‘’ .

Cross CMO.

Morris nodded and headed down to the shuttle bay.

Cross waited for the Cmdr to return and update him but for now she simply waited.

Cross CMO.

OOC: Just to give the go ahead for Morris and Cara to go down with the shuttle ,Cross has already informed the Captain. The reason is they don’t know what the interference was and feel its not safe to use the transporter to bring the party back.Morris has already posted going down to the shuttle .

Lt. Cmdr. Sanks walked back out of the Ready Room with the engineer, the engineer got on the turbolift. “I apologize, Doctor. What have I missed so far?” He asked.
Lt. Cmdr. Sanks, Number One .

OOC: I was apologizing to you for stepping out to deal with the personal issue with the officer, and also asking what I missed while I was talking to him, that was mostly for anyone that wanted to answer… lol.
