USS Merrimack
Main Sim -Sickbay
Later…
Kate was sitting at the edge of the bed,she knew something was not right and with the dim emergency light sickbay looked so eerie . It was quiet not even the soft humming sound of the engines ,the nursing officer wished Cross would come maybe she could shed some light on what was going on.
Suddenly D’Nesh ran inside sickbay ,she looked around and on seeing Kate went to sit next to her .The ex Orion slave was clearly distraught so Kate put a reassuring hand on D’Nesh’s shoulder …it was the only thing she could offer.

Faith arrived at Sickbay. Sickbay was her emergency post as she was a partly trained nurse. While the Red Alert hadn’t been sounded, the ship had gone dark, the engines could no longer be heard, and comms and turbolifts weren’t working. So, she assumed that some crisis was upon them.
“Hello!” called Faith, “Anyone here?”
Faith, Yeoman
Kate raised her hand ‘’Over here Faith ‘’ she called out , as D’Nesh tightly held at her arm clearly terrified ‘’Are they coming for us ? ‘’ the ex Orion slave asked worryingly.
D’Nesh
Faith walked over to them sitting in the dark. “What’s she mean? Who’s coming here?” Faith asked them. She didn’t give them time to reply before adding, “Aren’t their any patients here? We need to get some temporary lighting in here otherwise they’ll all get anxious about the dark too!” She looked around for something that could run on battery power. At this point, even an ancient DC electric hand torch would be fabulous.
-Faith, Yeoman
‘’Calm down Faith ‘’ she pointed to were Dr Kim with a hand torch was scribbling God knows what ‘’ The last patient has been discharged and D’Nesh is frightened, not knowing what is happening with the blaring and the dim emergency light maybe it reminds her perhaps of some past memory ‘’ the N.O shrugged .
‘’ I wonder where he managed to find that torch?’’ she asked while noticing that the Orion girl had laid down on the bed.Kate N.O
“What is he writing down?” Faith asked. The last time she had seen anyone write with a pen, she was probably still back with the Sons of the New Earth in the hippy commune. “Is it his last will and testament?” she asked, with a smile on her face.
Then she seemed to buck up. “Listen, it’s only a power cut! D’Nesh, I’m sure that Orions aren’t afraid of the dark and that was just some Tellarite slander!”
