Hunter made his way to sickbay when the crew were called, there he got sight of Kate and D’Nesh trying to juggle loads of boxes ‘’They must have bought everything in the shops …women! ‘’ the doctor muttered while rolling is eyes.

On entering sickbay he found it to be eerily quiet,except for doctor Kim shuffling here and there .Hunter knew that the doctor would never dream of visiting the station as he always avoided mingling with the crew ‘’ Say doctor ‘’ Hunter asked ‘’Any idea where Cross is?’’ .

‘’The head of depts where called for briefing on the next mission and now that you are here I can leave ‘’ and with that he simple turned and left sickbay leaving Hunter in charge .

Hunter Dr.

The nursing officer entered sickbay ,she had dyed her hair and was wearing a pair of silver studs .Hunter noticed the change and walked up to her ‘’ Nice color it suits you’’ he commented ‘’And are the earrings real silver ?’‘.

Kate felt her heart beating in her throat, it was the first time the male doctor ever complimented her ‘’T..thank you and yes they are real silver ,how did it go for you at the station ?’’ she was half expecting he would say he met someone but was surprised when Hunter told her he had simply had lunch with the COS.

The CMO finally made her way to sickbay after the briefing and on seeing Hunter walked up to him ‘’Doctor the Captain told me to inform you that you’re with the landing party ,come to my office and I’ll brief you on the information we have ‘’.

Hunter simply nodded and followed Cross while wondering what was in store for them on the planet.

Before he sat down Hunter made some coffee both for Cross and himself then took a seat ‘’So what do we have this time ?’’ .Cross took a sip from her cup and started to brief him on what the Captain had told them ,at the mention of mines the male doctor groaned ‘’Oh not mines again and why did the Romulans and Klingons leave ? ‘’ .

The CMO resisted the urge to hit him on the head with her Padd ‘’ That’s why a team is going down on the planet to find OUT !’’ Hunter just smiled ‘’You know what Cross you’re kind of cute when you get angry ‘’.....................THUMP ‘’Och!’‘.

While Hunter was rubbing his scalp Cross drank her coffee ‘’So the ship is on its way to Arden V ,until we get there do help me prepare sickbay and the empty cargo bay we used last time for Triage but first I’m going to brief our medical team,the last thing we want is to be caught unprepared ‘’.

Cross CMO.

Cross made it back to sickbay and went straight to where Hunter was ‘’We have arrived, so do prepare to be called to go down on the planet with the landing party ‘’ she informed him.

Hunter nodded ‘’Everything is ready with regards to sickbay and Triage , some of the nurses are stock piling putting everything in place , apart from that their is nothing else to do but wait and be prepared ‘’.

The nursing officer saw Hunter leave ,she knew he was to be among the landing party and for now all she could do was wait and hope for the best.

Cross decided to check the storage room just to make sure everything the medical personnel might need, while also wondering if the landing party had been beamed down on the planet .
She made a mental note too go to the bridge later on,by staying in sickbay the CMO knew she would be in the dark as with regards to what the landing party might find.

Kate was sitting at the edge of the bed,she knew something was not right and with the dim emergency light sickbay looked so eerie . It was quiet not even the soft humming sound of the engines ,the nursing officer wished Cross would come maybe she could shed some light on what was going on.

Suddenly D’Nesh ran inside sickbay ,she looked around and on seeing Kate went to sit next to her .The ex Orion slave was clearly distraught so Kate put a reassuring hand on D’Nesh’s shoulder …it was the only thing she could offer.
