M’Mera sat in her tiny security office off the brig and went over the personnel file for the officers in her department. The two crewman just under her had pretty standard records and job performance but she preferred to meet them in person and get to know them. Judge them by personal contact.

Sharp’s hand shot over his mouth,did the new COS found out about the time he had told doctor Hunter that the bridge where he had been stationed saw an unknown ship coming their way but omitted to tell him it would probable take three days to reach them. Hunter had been furious for how dare they not inform sickbay ? The male doctor got himself in trouble when he barged on the bridge demanding answers.

He pressed the buzzer of the COS’s office and had he had a tail it would be between his feet right now ‘’But I learned my lesson and has been careful during my duties ‘’ he muttered to himself .

“Enterr.” Came the command from a feline, purring voice from within. When the doors whooshed open Sharp would see his new COS sitting behind the desk on a stool stolen from the Science labs, as it had no back and gave the COS freedom of tail movement, besides not squashing it which really pinched.

“Come on in, Crrewman. Have a sseat while we wait for yourr counterrparrt.” She said indicating one of two chairs in front of her desk.

Richard entered took a few steps and stopped, he felt his legs about to start trembling , then as quick as he could the security gave a curt nod with a ‘’Yes ma’am ‘’ and promptly sat down before M’Mera noticed the obvious non verbal cues .

He then looked at the other empty chair next to him and had to wonder who his counterpart could be, then remembered she had called Guy as well *Wonder what he did * Sharp though to himself.

Guy had walked down the corridor and past the door twice before he had summoned up enough courage to press the buzzer. He had convinced himself that Dr. Cross must have made another formal complaint about him, but then he wondered why Sharp had been called too. He didn’t think that he could remember Sharp ever being in trouble.

On his third walk past the door he saw a cadet coming in the opposite direction. He would look very strange if he turned back again, so this time he pressed on the button.

“Hi!” Guy mumbled, and smiled as the cadet went by. Well, I’ve done it now, Guy thought. OMG! I’ve pressed the buzzer! So, I have to enter now!
