USS Merrimack
The arrival
The ride in the shuttle had been an unforgettable experience for Stella. All cramped in with her luggage and containers for the Merrimack along with her own height it had been easy for the pilot who had six hands to be able to push his luck and get away with it with the poor excuse that her knee was in the wrong place or that his hand had slipped. Finally, Stella tucked herself up like an armadillo and informed the pilot that he now had enough room to operate his shuttle safely She then warned him if his hands wandered again, he would be looking for a new job since there weren’t many job openings for one handed pilot.
After the fool had slammed the shuttle down in the shuttle bay just trying to get her angry, she gave up. despite pulled out all her belongings. Quite a lot actually and despite the weight set off in search of her quarters as they had been assigned to her. She struggled a bit with the bags but with her six-foot three frame and having kept it in a fine lady-like condition it was only a nuisance for her. She finally found her quarters and tried to go in. When the door didn’t open, she almost crashed her head into it. She cursed then, in several vivid colors and languages and then gave the computer her name and pass code to open the door. Finally, inside she tossed her gear in several locations looked around and smiled for the first time in hours and said aloud to herself. ” Ain’t too bad.
get some of this
She looked at her list of orders and sighed. She figured she could get some of this stuff taken care of before she got herself something to eat and go on to the next thing. There had to be someone in sick bay she would do that check-in first.
