[So this happens after Layanna leaves the room, but 3 days before we find the survivor]

Ensign Black headed out of Engineering and headed up towards the Captain’s ready room to take a look at the door. He was unaware of any ongoing issues with doors on the Merrimack but he would go ahead and take a look. Once he arrived at the Captain’s ready room, he clicked on the comms on the wall by the door and said, =/\=Captain Glen, this is Ensign Black. I am going to take a look at the door. Is there anything specific that you are having issues with in regards to the door?=/\= He then started to take a look behind the service panel by the door. He took his scanner out and started to scan in the service panel to see if anything was wrong with the door.

=/\= That’s perfectly fine. This door wouldn’t open when Number One visited me earlier. It hasn’t been an issue before, but I’ve always found that a bang on the wall directly opposite the service panel works when it doesn’t open automatically. =/\= Glen replied. He wasn’t concerned about being locked in the Ready Room forever.

Glen added =/\= I had a thought that the fault might have been connected to so many people being in this room for the earlier briefing. The doors were constantly open and had far more use than is usual. =/\=
