The shuttle had been eerily quiet for some time, and she had found it soothing for a while then it had become to much for her. She pulled from her bag a notepad and a pencil. Most people just stared at it when she did use it, but for her it meant that she carried a part of her past with her where ever she went.

As words filled the pages the pilot finally spoke “Ma’am we are approaching the Merrimack.” She looked up as she closed her notebook “Thank you”

She put her notebook away, and prepared to beam over. Once she materlized she waited for the for the captain to arrive as she was instructed.

Royal, Number One

Arriving at the transporter room she was met by a female ‘’ I’m the CMO ,welcome onboard …in which dept are you located?’’ Cross asked wanting to make this quick so she could return to the briefing room without further delay .

Layanna was surprised to be standing in front of the CMO and not the captain, but she smiled and replied “I’m the new first officer!” She said “I was expecting Captain Glen is he okay?”
