So because of the holidays coming up and alot of other stuff in my life plus that awol limits are relaxed I haven’t posted here in almost a week. I am going to try to do so tonight or tomorrows. Sorry for the delays

**Holiday Posting Limits
For the holiday season, all COs have the authority to relax posting limits at their discretion. Normal limits will resume on January 5th. Happy and safe holidays everyone.

So, as CO, I didn’t say anywhere that I had relaxed the posting limits, nor did anyone ask me. I also cannot get any reply from Lucas Foxley or Matt Evans (our FComm and AFComm) by email about promoting AJ Paulson to XO. As they are both AWOL on their own ships, I don’t know how to move forward on that. Robert Archer has told me that as AJ is already at the member rank of Commander, I can promote his character to Commander without permission.

I’m very sorry that the ship is at a standstill again for those who do want to take part, but as you can see, it is beyond my control. I couldn’t even post at all yesterday while the update to Exodus was happening and while the Server had some problems with spammers.

The Sickbay and the Fantail Lounge are still open for business right now if you wish to post. There are open questions to be answered on the Bridge.

Can we ALL resume again on the 5th Jan? Anyone who doesn’t post by then, I will assume they are no longer interested.

Do we have an XO as of yet? I know there were talked about someone getting added but I don’t see it yet.

Not yet. Appointing an XO needs Fleet Commander approval but I’m rapidly reaching a point where I no longer care about such rules if the Merrimack is not improved by having them.

Dave I was a CO ,XO and Lt Cmdr CNS on an academy ship and never had to wait for any approval if I was accepted by the CO or replacing another ,all it took was for the CO to put me on the roaster and considering what a good player A.J is and have no doubt as a Cmdr it will come easy for him .So for the sake of the
Merrimack and the rest of the other players why are you bothered?. It is after all a benefit to the Merimack and the Black Fleet.

Marthese if this is what happened then it shouldn’t have been what Dave says is the right way it should have occured. Dave I will try to reach the fcomm to get back to you.

Ok so anyhow got ahold of the FComm in discord (River) she’s given the go ahead for AJ to get placed, she has been frightfully busy with the holidays and was not able to reply.

its always been my understanding and from the wording that FComm has to approvfe a rank up to commander from lt commander, AND regardless of rank also approve XO assignments?
