Whilst most of the crew had found their way on-board Space Station K-5, McDuff remained onboard for the time being. He didn’t much feel like leaving the ship, so he decided to hole himself up in his office and keep working through things. Sitting behind his desk, he had various PADDs around him. He worked diligently through them, one by one.
Besides, things can often go awry, even when docked with a Space Station, so he needed to be alert. At least, that is what he told himself.

Captain Glen passed by the office on his way to Deep Space K-5.

“Is everything okay? It appears I’ve created a lot of paperwork for you? I have to visit K-5 now and submit my reports to the Admiral, but I’d like as many of the crew as possible to take the opportunity to get some R+R time at the station before the next assignment. It has a lot of facilities available. Some of the crew can get a little carried away when they let their hair down, so I’d like a Security presence there even if you don’t want to take part yourself.”

McDuff stood up as the Captain entered the room and listened closely as he spoke.
“Yes Sir, I understand.” He said after the Captain had shared his thoughts. “I’ll wrap up here and make way over.”
McDuff’s previous line of work had seen him spend time almost exclusively on Space Stations, so he wasn’t exactly hopping at the chance to leave the Merrimack, but he understood where the captain was coming from. Perhaps, it would do him a little good to spend some time with the crew in an unfamiliar setting.
“Will there be anything else, sir?” He asked the Captain before he began to wrap things up in his office.
