Salek strode straight from the bridge to the confrence room. He looks thoughtful for a few minutes as he enters into the room. As a way to help him think he goes to the back of the room and paces form port to starboard about the room at a somewhat brusk pace. He himself felt woefuly unprepared for these events and at least on the ship they will also have recordings that can be used for playback. Or at least he hoped, that their presence wouldn’t disrupt the equipment. His pace slowed a bit as he waited for others to arrive.

The doors to the Conference Room slid open and McDuff walked. Standing in the door way for a moment. “Lieutenant” He said, by way of a greeting.

Salek nodded to McDuff. “Lieutenant. There are a few things that we must discuss. Hopefully a few others will join. Cross will not be in attendance for this nor the captain. I will explain more in a few minutes.” He said as he continued to pace the stern of the room.

It took Max a few minutes to arrive at the conference and walked in. He noticed Lt McDuff and Lt Saelk present in the conference room. He walked over to a seat and sat down. He noticed the Captain was not present. Max then asked, ‘I am here as requested. Who else are we going to be waiting on for this? I have not seen the captain as of yet. I hope everything is alright at this point.” He then waited for a response.

At that precise moment doctor Hunter entered the conference room ,he simply nodded to the H.D’s present ‘’The Captain is in sickbay ,nothing to be alarmed about but he’s unable to attend the meetings do proceed without him ‘’ he spoke in a soft tone and as he did so gave a Padd to Lt Saelk before leaving.

If Saelk would take a look he would read … The inhabitants spoke of some Deity called Va ,the AI also called itself with the same word ,their main purpose is for their next generations to became biological ,we cannot verify that all they said is true or not .

Hunter Dr.

Salek nodded and took up the PADD reading. “I see thank you Hunter, will you be attending in Cross’s place? Or are you headed back to …” He started to ask before watching Hunter exiting. Salek turned his attention to those in the room. “I believe that we have just about everyone. Has anyone seen Verity? I know the all call was in haste, but there is little time as they will be sending a delegate soon. I will explain but I want to only do so once.”

Verity hurried in and took a seat. She looked around for Captain Glen and was surprised to see him missing
Salek had oppened his mouth to speak when the light appeared. He had expected something like this but with it being so soon he had not thought the ten minutes were up.

As the group began to assemble it was almost literally to the second of the ten minute mark when in the left aft corner of the room a faint hum began to be heard. A second after that a dim white light grew up from out of no where and solidified into a basketball sized globe. A faint hum was felt and heard as it fully resolved floating about 5 ft or so off the floor. After a bob or two of floating as if acclimating itself to the environment, the glowing orb hued slightly brighter then after a dazzle of sparkles resolved itself into that of a non-descript gendered looking humanoid figure. It stood about 5‘8 in height, had the usual two legs, arms, eyes, nose, mouth etc, and had four fingers and thumbs plus two ears. The head of the being was bald and smooth, the creature wore what seemed a simple garb of silver-grey toned cloth similar to a neck to toe jumpsuit and a pair of nondescript simple looped shoes.

After it fully resolved, the figure looked at itself for a moment, before taking in the room about it. “..Greetings, I am the representative chosen to speak to you all from those of the Ascended. You may refer to me as Josan in your language of speech. May I know who speaks for those assembled?” Josan inquired, its voice much like its appearance was quite gender neutral in tone, neither feminine nor masculine.

Verity stood from her seat and addressed Josan with a respectful tone, “Greetings, Josan. I am Lieutenant Commander Aphelion, the Executive Officer of this vessel. On behalf of the crew, the assembled group, as well as Captain Glen, the Commander of this ship, I welcome you. We are honored to make contact with the Ascended through you. How may we assist you, and what brings you here to our ship?”

Salek took a seat at the conference table at this time as he had stopped his pacing when the light appeared and then went to sit. “I had not had time to brief the others on what has transpired or that you were coming. If given a bit of time, and the opportunity I would like to explain the events that have already transpired and then will turn it over to Lt. Commander Aphelion as our speaker if you do not mind.”

Josan gave a simple nod, “..Such as you wish, this meeting was requested by your Captain Glen. So here I am to discuss whatever you may wish concerning Experimental Planet 19 and its VA station..” Josan said, eventually also taking a seat at the table.

McDuff sat quietly and listened closely, taking the whole situation in.

Max was surprised by the energy present. He knew they were “ascended” but did not know what to expect. Even as a engineer, he had never experienced this until now. He was very curious of how this was going to play out but did not want to interrupt as he had not been addressed or asked any questions. So he just sat and observed.

Verity’s eyebrows arched in surprise as Lt. Salek spoke. Her astonishment was evident in her eyes as she turned her attention back to Josan. “Lt. Salek, it’s quite a surprise that you knew Josan would be boarding our ship. This unexpected turn of events intrigues me,” she said, her tone a mixture of curiosity. Also if the Captain knew of the metting we hy wasnt he present. She felt she was in the dark. “But please,” she waved her hand toward the CSO, as she took a seat, “Lieutenant, continue. We’re eager to hear about Experimental Planet 19 and its VA station.”
