Max had returned to the ship with the NEs. He nodded at the response from the transporter chief and then headed out the door. He wanted to get to Main Engineering as soon as possible to deal with any potential issues. It took him about 5 minutes to get back to Main Engineering. He entered and looked around. Nothing seemed out of place and nothing was alerting so he was hoping it was clear for now since he had just arrived back. He then tapped on his comm badge and said, “Lt Mullins to Lt Cross. What is the situation to require us to beam back to the ship in such a hurry? I had no warning and we were making progress with the mines. Please advise.” Max knew the captain was not back on the ship yet as he had just left engineering and the captain was still down on the surface. He wanted the captain to make it back fine. He was totally concerned about what was going on.

OOC: I am asking this so it doesn’t seem like my character is doing any OOC learning. Hopefully this isn’t a problem.

OOC: Yes, this is good. One small problem and one convention though.

We don’t have ComBadges that are communicators. They aren’t invented until sometime very soon in the future. You go to a communicator on the wall of Engineering. The Badge is just a badge stitched onto the shirt you wear.

Secondly, if you are speaking to someone elsewhere on the ship or by communicator then use =/\= or =^= rather than ” and also posted it within the thread where that person is. So, in this case Miriam Cross is on the Bridge. (Marthese might not reply immediately because she is away for a few days.)

OOC: Normally I remember to do the =/\= but apparently I forgot this time. Also, I always forget about the lack of comm badges. Excuse me on that. Won’t make that mistake again (at least I hope I won’t”

OOC: The sim got split,I had already posted this ,so for the sake of continuity any posts will go on from here as with regards to the Main Engineering,also after Cross responded to the CE about his inquiry everyone has now been beamed back on the ship safely.

Cross responded back =/\= Lt I wanted you and the rest of the team back as a precaution,a measure taken to avoid danger or mistakes from my part ,up until now there is no emergency but your safety is paramount ,significant in importance ,the AI said they destroyed other ships because they where a threat to their structure but that is their side of the story .They are scanning not only the whole ship but the crew as well…Cross out =/\=.
