Max had returned to the ship with the NEs. He nodded at the response from the Transporter Chief and then headed out the door. He wanted to get to Main Engineering as soon as possible to deal with any potential issues. It took him about 5 minutes to get back to Main Engineering. He entered and looked around. Nothing seemed out of place and nothing was alerting so he was hoping it was clear for now since he had just arrived back. He then used the wall communicator to contact the Bridge and said, =/\= Lt Mullins to Lt Cross. What is the situation to require us to beam back to the ship in such a hurry? I had no warning and we were making progress with the mines. Please advise. =/\= Max knew the captain was not back on the ship yet as he had just left engineering and the captain was still down on the surface. He wanted the captain to make it back fine. He was totally concerned about what was going on.

Cross responded back =/\= Lt I wanted you and the rest of the team back as a precaution, a measure taken to avoid danger or mistakes from my part ,up until now there is no emergency but your safety is paramount ,significant in importance ,the AI said they destroyed other ships because they where a threat to their structure but that is their side of the story .They are scanning not only the whole ship but the crew as well…Cross out =/\=.

Max then heard the Captain’s voice, who added =/\= Doctor Cross is correct, if there is a threat to the ship, people on the planet surface tie our hands and severely restrict what action can be taken. Safest place for everyone is back here. =/\=

With Max back in main engineering, NE Barley came up to him. “..Sir while you were gone we ran some basic diagnostics, make sure everything was in order since the Captain likes to run a tight ship. Everything came back in the green, except on deck 3, section 12. Food locker 1 containment came back with an error on the food stabilization sensors. I was about to send someone to go check on it when you came back. Food locker 1 mainly houses the emergency ship’s rations for the senior officers just so you know. Lockers 2 and 3 nearby though came back in the green.” he said.
