Cross came directly from the bridge to her office ,she kicked the door before it opened ignoring the shooting pain in her leg . Once there the female doctor sat behind the desk ,she sat there trying to gather her thoughts on what had transpired on the bridge .
On seeing the doctor the nursing officer came rushing in ‘’Cross I thought you were on the bridge ‘’ Kate hoped the doctor did not just got bored and left ‘’Don’t worry someone still in training took over and as of now all thing considered everything is relevantly quiet so decided to leave ‘’ she replied in a monotone tone .

‘’The team are they safe ,is doctor Hunter okay?’’ at the mention of Hunter by Kate ,Cross got up with both hands resting on the desk and with a chilling gaze gave the nursing officer a piece of her mind ‘’Hunter… Hunter! Its what you are obsessed with ,haven’t you noticed by now that he does not care about you or any other female crew .He’ll smile to a wall and call it dear , while you are looking at him as if about to melt ,you’re probably the gossip of the staff !’’ the CMO exclaimed.
Kate was totally shocked for Cross had always been kind ,having and showing a considerate nature to everyone.

Her eyes welled and tears threatened to fall the moment she blinked . The nursing officer turned around before Cross would notice ,took a couple of steps to leave the office though stopped for a moment and with her back to the doctor Kate said in a quivering voice ‘’ I’m truly sorry that you lost your partner ma’am ,the Cmdr was a true gentleman but please don’ take your anger on everyone else ‘’’ and with those last words she left leaving Cross with the strangest haunted look.

Cross CMO.

As the door closed behind Jane ,Cross sat down thinking and did realize that the nursing officer had been right and the doctor indeed needed to apologize .At this point Cross was staring at nothing but her breathing became harder and faster .Within a few minutes she felt a headache coming on and it increased with every second that passed until it felt like it was about to explode .

Something was brewing inside of her , she could feel it and knew only to well what was about to happen ‘’Nooo…’’ Cross cried out this was not suppose to happen,it had been ages since the last episode ,the female doctor had even wondered if maybe it would have been the last time .Every muscle in her body became tensed , as did the increased aggressiveness , injury tolerance and recklessness .

The first to go was everything that was on the desk with just one swipe of her hand, the chair was thrown against the wall as did her body slamming it again and again.Cross became frantic despite what was happening she could still think, reason, understand and envisage what could happen ,opening the desk drawers she frantically searched among the general things and items ‘’ Oh Lord it has to be here somewhere ‘’ she mumbled to herself by now searching in the other drawers as well and then Cross finally saw it .With trembling hands and trying to control the demons in her she managed to fill a hypospray and plunged it in the left side of her neck .The sedative started to work immediately and the doctor found herself unable to stand on her feet ,she did try leaning against the wall but then everything blacked out and her limply body slumped to the floor.

After an hour or so Kate left for her break, upon returning she decided to have a word with Cross about how sorry, sad and distressed she felt because Kate was a sympathetic kind of person .The nursing officer knew the female doctor as someone who was kind,caring,tolerant and amicable. Though it would have been more appropriate for the CMO herself to be apologetic by her shocking outburst .

Kate pressed the chime over and over again ,she called out to Cross begging her to open the door and when there was no response Kate started to worry. With the door of the CMO’s office closed Kate had no other alternative but to contact the COS.

=/\= Lt Cameron , could you please head to sickbay as Lt Cross is in her office with the door closed but not responding and to be honest I’m worried =/\= .

=/\= “Acknowledged. I’ll be right there!” =/\= Cameron set off at a light sprint, dodging and apologizing and he brushed past other crew members.

Meanwhile, the there was an event on the Bridge and Kahuna required the senior officer aboard =/\= Dr. Cross! Please! Your presence is required on the Bridge urgently! =/\=

OOC: The timeline in this thread is shot to pieces, but I’ll assume Kahuna doesn’t get any reply.

Feeling slightly breathless, Lt. McDuff arrived at the CMO’s door.
“Cross. It’s McDuff. How’s about you open this door, so we can see that you’re okay?” He spoke loudly through the door. He tried his hardest to make his voice sound friendly and amiable whilst trying to hide the clear worry he had for the CMOs safety.
He paused and listened closely at the door. There was no response. McDuff could feel himself beginning to panic slightly. God only knows what had happened in there but he was sure going to find out. His mind raced as he tried to think of the quickest method of ingress. Breaching the door from the outside would take far too long given the situation, and it was dangerous. There was only one other way Cameron could think of. He walked over to the nearest wall that had a Comm panel on it.
=/\= “Chief of Security to Transporter Room. Requesting immediate site to site transport. Please beam me inside to CMO’s office. Quickly!”=/\=
=/\= “Right away, sir” =/\= Came the reply.
With in moments McDuff de-materialized from his location and re-materialized in the Center of the CMO’s office. Once the transport cycle had completed. McDuff’s head spun on a swivel as he hurriedly survey the room visually. He was shocked to see the state of the office. But the real shock hit him when he saw Lieutenant Cross laid unconscious on the floor.
“My god” He said to himself. He was panicking now. His brow sweaty and his heart racing. His first instinct was to immediately go over to Dr. Cross and try and wake her. He stopped himself. He needed help here. He walked over to the door and released the lock. It slid open.
“Nurse!” He shouted out into the Sickbay. “Quickly! Please!” He implored someone to come to the CMO’s aid.
He turned again, and looked at the CMO, laying motionless on the floor, afraid to touch her, but wanting to help her some how. A feeling of helplessness fell over him.

Lieutenant Cameron McDuff - COS

Kate ran inside and on seeing Cross lying on the floor the nursing officer wondered what had happened, that’s when she saw the empty phial.Picking it up she knew straight away what Cross had done ‘’We have to wake her up Lt ,call a nurse to give you a stimulant and ice cold water and please do hurry up’‘.

“Right” McDuff said. He didn’t question it. He just hurried off to gather the desired items. Within a few moments he had returned with them.

Cameron did not know Cross but Kate sure did, she managed to raise her up in a sitting position with her back resting against the wall ‘’Come on Cross where has your anger gone ? ‘’ she asked while slapping her face over and over again .Once the stimulant was injected and a jug of iced water thrown over her head, Kate knew just exactly what to say.

With both hands on the doctor’s tunic and shaking her Kate spoke ‘’They took your son Cross , the Captain never bothered to save him remember ? ‘’ which of course was far from the truth ‘’And the one you loved …he left you for a second time did he not ? I bet your Joe did not even say goodbye !’‘.
Cross started to open her eyes and the look in them seemed unpleasant , bitter and malicious . She struggled to get on her feet and was about make a sudden forward thrust of her body towards the N.O.

OOC: at this point act as you wish.

Cameron’s eyes widened as he saw the CMO begin to lunge at the nurse. The last thing he wanted on top of all this commotion was fight to breakout in Sickbay. He quickly placed himself between the Nurse and the CMO, intercepting the lunge. He carefully held Cross by the arms.
“Come on, Cross. Think about this.” He said calmly. “Pull yourself together.”

‘’Lt Cameron contact bridge without delay and tell them the CMO is on her way ,we shall help her get inside the lift but once there just shove Cross onto the bridge while we go back up ‘’.

OOC: Steve put your post on the bridge sim .

Kate N.O/ Cross CMO.

“Right…” He said, sounding unsure.
He stood a thought a moment. Surly to send to CMO up to the bridge in her present condition was bad idea. Whilst he thought, he agreed that it would be best if he accompanied the CMO to the bridge. There was no sense in trying to plan further that that. He’d deal with whatever happened next as the situation evolved.
Releasing his grip on the CMO he walked over to the Desk in the Office and activated the Communication Panel.
=/\= Bridge - this is Security Chief. The CMO and I are on our way. We’ll be there shortly, please excuse our delay =/\=
“Right” He said turning back to the CMO. “We should go, we’re needed on the Bridge.”
