We’ve already had to say good bye to two players recently, for personal reasons unrelated to anything that happened on the Merrimack. Unfortunately, we now also have to say good bye to Robert (Bob) Spicer for health reasons. It is leaving the ship in a very unfortunate position after several months of doing very well, but this is the way. [sorry- wrong franchise.]

I have had some interest expressed in new joins to our crew and I will follow that up today with more urgency. [sorry- I’ve been away from home this week.]

Bob Spicer, a very, very long-standing member of STF, only returned to join the Merrimack, so it is sad for him to be leaving the club again. While we may have loved him as my XO, Joe Milligan, on the USS Merrimack, or as his Medic, Mike Jones, on the USS Viking, no one cared much for his bad-tempered and difficult Psychiatrist, Major Stanley Wong. I doubt many will be sad to see him leave. He made everyone nervous and certainly outstayed his welcome.

I know we will all want to wish Bob well and for a quick and full recovery. I’ve sure he will read this, so best wishes from us all.
