As Hunter heard the word ‘omen’ he mumbled something incoherently.

Glen would find the right time to tell his away team, and he’d need to ask the natives what they considered were bad omens. At the moment, they were still sitting waiting for the man to ask his questions. There seemed to be an inordinate amount of time wasting on this planet. It was like anything that could be done tomorrow, can be left until next week. Talk about kicking the can along.

[Hunter] too was becoming increasingly impatient as the minutes went by ‘’I wonder if they have invented the clock yet! ‘’.

As Glen returned from his call the smaller man on friendly terms spoke finally through the UT, =/\= I would say by Va’s enlightenment I would inquire what makes you different then the lessons and seeming Wisdom of the divine agents who came from the Heavens before you came and foretold many of our line of the Doom you would bring?=/\= He inquired.

Glen attempted a reply. =/\= These divine agents of Va of whom you speak, we have a long history with them. They are mortal and not divine. Like us they come from the stars and are known as the Klingons to the rest of the Galaxy, and they are not to be trusted. Compare your world before they arrived, with all the squalor and pollution that surrounds you now, and then ask yourselves, was this really the will of Va? The Klingons wanted you to believe that only because they wanted the products of your labours, and of your mineral mines; Va’s own bounty, but if Va is a benevolent deity, who wants only that your world thrives, then surely Va would not have let them exploit your people, and her resources, as they did? =/\=

The larger more combative woman tsked to the side also speaking her mind, =/\= Tch! Ask them why we should listen to their words. His agents who blessed us with knowledge of strength and combat we only till recent lives in our line held to the ground like a Unknown Word, perhaps a native animal would endanger us. What lines of words would they spin to convince they are right and Va’s agents are wrong? They have done well by those in our lines for many rotations of Va’s Life. =/\= She said.

=/\= But your blessings of strength and improved senses did not come from the Klingons, did they? You have always had them among your people from long before. We have had our scientists looking into this phenomena because two of my crew have now been blessed with these advantages. Why would Va give two of my crew this blessing if Va opposed us? And why would Va poison her own body like this? =/\=

The smaller man paused but after a moment nodded in somewhat agreement, =/\= She is right, some do argue that4 our lines and life of what we did before Va’s agents arrived from the Heavens did hold our ways of defense too lightly. We held off on Va’s blessings to truly embody what we could do on Va’s body here..=/\= He said gesturing about. Then added, =/\= for better or worse, whether it poisoned the body or not. =/\= He added.

=/\= Weren’t your people always very strong and immune to disease? The Klingons simply found that your very strong miners made very good workers. Have you really done so well for so many recent rotations? Do you eat better than before the Klingons arrived? How good is the hunting in comparison? Does your food last the whole year around? Is your water cleaner? Is your air cleaner? Are your children healthier? Has your population grown? The Klingons did not care about your health as Va would have done. If you look around you with fresh eyes you will see that Va has only been damaged by their presence. I tell you with all honesty that they were not the agents of Va as they claimed! =/\=

=/\= I’d also like to ask you, what ‘Doom’ it was that the Klingons suggested we could bring upon you, that could possibly be any worse that what you suffer now? Do you still have your freedoms of climate and nature, and maintain them to find abundant nourishment? Did they behave like good guests, or were they brutal, and did they impose upon you new laws, and did they mistreat your females? And then ask yourselves this: is this really the way that the agents of benevolent Va would treat her loyal followers? =/\=
