Joe had waited a bit and then as things had calmed down on the planet, he had released the two engineers and the two security people who had helped him perform the miracle of the food. These he released to their DH’s for duty on the planet. Although Joe wouldn’t mind hanging around for a short while he wasn’t a trusting soul and never liked to underestimate anyone so the idea of leaving the shuttle on the planet didn’t seem like a good idea to him.

He waited awhile as things seemed to get settled before he climbed into the shuttle and got the systems up and running. Only fifteen minutes later he had the shuttle safely in a shuttle bay and five minutes later was walking onto the bridge to finally sit down into the comfortable command chair as if he were a man who had just squeezed two shifts into one. “Alright” he began with a smile,”I see that Cross hasn’t dented anything yet!”

It was a good thing Cross was not around ,as she was having coffee with a security named Richard,with her streak temperament the only dent would have been in Glen’s head .The female doctor would need to dispose of these allegations and fabrications once and for all, she already knew that the Captain had made similar remarks in the past ............

George almost split his sides laughing. “Don’t catch the darn good doctaw her ya say that, there,” George told him. “She is right touchy about that there subject. She were done left in command whahl we docked at the darn Federashun space stashun. Unknown ta anyone ayn’ without any darn warnin’, they done turned off all theuurr defences faw some routahn maintenance. At witch darn point, an unknown species av darn subspace-living aliens done appeared out av nowhere ayn’ attacked us. Ay mean, it were almost as if doctaw Cross were set up!”

Joe chuckled at the reaction of mister Sheridan. “Yes, I’m well aware of what happened to her. ” Joe said. “It’s just that it’s so much fun to tease a person like Dr. Cross. She’s one of these perfectionists who can’t ever live up to her own expectations. And because of that she’s just way too easy tease about simple things.”

‘’Oh is that so! ‘’exclaimed Cross who had just stepped on the bridge .making her way to were Joe sat. The female doctor went on ‘’So you do the disappearing act ,leave the bridge, without the decency to even inform me and now you’re back laughing at my expense! Anyway could you at least care to tell me what is happening with our team ?’’ .

As the Chief Medical Officer she did expect to be notified of how things had been proceeding ,developing and/or advancing so far.

Cara looked up from her Scope ay the Science Station, “Sirs! The main team appear to be sitting around a large table in the village, surrounded by villagers, but not much appears to be happening there. The other smaller team has entered one of the mines and is out of sight now.”
