Max had a nice 6 hours of sleep but he still had some time to report in. He was just getting comfortable in the new ship and was starting to get to know folks and getting his engineering team set up to be able to keep the ship running in tip top shape. Max decided since he had some time to work out. He headed down to the Holodeck to see about a gym program. After a few minutes of walking, Max arrived at holo deck 1. He punched the wall by the door and started to look for a gym program. After a second of reading through the programs, he found one that said gym workout. He stated to the computer, “Computer, play gym workout program 1. Lets do medium difficulty” Max believed he was in half decent shape and wanted to start off with something slow but not so slow he would get bored. He then entered the holodeck.

Pssst! We don’t have this “Holodeck” program that you speak of, so Majel 2.0 (our computer) is going to be very confused by your question.

Not sure where you went to on the ship either, because there is no “Holo” Deck, either 1, 2 or 3!

We do have an extremely well equipped Gymnasium though on Deck 14. You would be able to get an exercise programme from Majel there.

A very simple rewrite of this post would make it acceptable and remove the anachronisms.

Just to add regarding the original Mariner Class specifications. The Merrimack has had some upgrades. An AI computer was installed than ran amok. So Majel 2.0 was reinstalled. She is an improvement on Majel 1.0 but she isn’t LCARS yet. We have had several refits following damage in battle. We also had some improvements to weapons and shields by a ship from the far future, so those are better than the original spec too. But the layout of the ship is still the same as the original.
