Both the male doctor and nursing officer stood up in an instance and practically ran out of the Mess Hall towards the turbo-lift.

Cross CMO.

Joe had done a site-to-site transport from transporter room one to sickbay complete with the child who was on his shoulder and not moving for an instant. A soon as they materialized though Joe let out a blood curding scream as the girls’ teeth firmly chomped down on one of his fingers. “Why” You evil she-creature you!” Joe cursed. Then for whatever reason. Perhaps Joe’s finger didn’t taste good. It would be his present conclusion that the people on the planet were probably cannibals. But for some reason she let his finger go free and tried to take a bite of his ear.

Joe stepped toward the nearest bio bed and disengaged the girls’ small hands from around his throat where she was currently engaged in trying to strangle him. Then he lifted her off of his shoulder and not too ceremoniously plopped the child onto the bilobed. “Miri! Come do something with the cannibal flame haired she-devil!”

Cross did not move, the female doctor looked more like an animated statue among the living .This time her eyes did not get darker they changed shape and looked like they were about to pop out from their socket ‘’What is that? ‘’ she asked.

Cross CMO.

” Femal definitely. Screams loudly, bites and scratches and is a definite pain in my posterior. The little minx came across the away team. Started tugging on Cara’s tail. Had to pull out the away team because of her. Can you knock her out with some drug before bites me again? She may have something, I want her tested! Just restrain her for now. Do something with this female creature thing Miri!”

’’ I’ll check her though if as you say she screams,bite and scratch I’ll be surprised if there is anything wrong with her. All she need is lots of soap, water and food ‘’Cross eyed the pesky child at a safe distance ‘’Cmdr you can take her back I’m not about to give a child anything to as you say knock her out ‘’.

Cross waited for Joe to pick her up and disappear ‘’Boo go with daddy’‘.
Cross CMO.

” Lieutenant I will neither be gone, nor will I attempt to lift that Banshee from the bio bed. Both of us have been on a planet with more than its share of toxins. She’s been living in that place and may be very unwell. She is also going to be a prime example of the indigenous population down there. So, if you could please check her over?”

Joe then for the first time examined his bitten finger, “Ah well she missed me with her fangs the little Banshee did. She didn’t break the skin. And when you’re done with her I’ll be bringing the rest of the away team to sick bay to be examined thank you. And now I must be off I need to go catch the rest in the transporter room.” Joe turned quickly as if to march off but then turned back quickly and gave Cross a peck on the cheek and said,”Take care of the little witch. It’s a tough world she lives in.”

Then Joe disappeared from sickbay taking long strides as if there were no tomorrow.
