Hearing Milligan barking orders from the planet as if his underwear were on fire, Tom, the transporter operator had to laugh. Everyone knew this was going to be a walk in the park mission. He did move to the controls of the transporter and check that he had all away team members locked in and then searching he did find that Joe was carrying an extra person. He double checked the biofilters, checked all readings and pulled down on the controls. All in all it had taken three seconds since Joe made the call then the transport had been activated.

However. Joe’s call was very quickly followed by the Captain from the Bridge. =/\= Transporter Room. Beam the Landing Party back ASAP!! =/\= If Transporter Tom wanted to keep this position, then he might react a little quicker.

The soreness and confusion of the sudden transport for Wolf and the others was probably the result of this all. The girl though seeing she couldn’t get free of the XO by her own power resulted in then kicks with her legs and feet into his stomach and torso and using her tiny mouth to chomp down hard repeatedly on his one index finger near her mouth.

As she materialised from the sudden emergency Transport, Cara did her best not to “hiss” and to retract her claws once again. After all, this appeared to be merely a very frightened infant child. Whatever damage it had done to Joe, it wasn’t severe, and it probably wasn’t intentional.

As Joe materialized by Cara, he seemed ready to move instantly as if he were wound up like a spring. Seeing the captain, he looked to the skinny kicking legs, the wiggling body, flailing arms, and what Joe thought at first were red snakes coming out of the child’s head which he not so soon realized at last was bright red pigtails. “While not appearing to be a very big snag sir, she outflanked us while her elders were in the village arguing about politics, religion and firing guns of some sort. It seemed to me the perfect mix for catastrophe. “He then turned to the wiggling creature on his shoulder and adjusted her once again so that she wouldn’t fall off. “If I may be excused sir? ” He asked. “I need to get this devilish thing to sickbay.”

Verity bent over a flow of vomit came from her mouth. “Ugh..I wasn’t ready for that. I have to be ready or else I....” she held her stomach to hold in another round that wanted to spew from her mouth. “What happened. What…”, she observed the child that was fighting Joe and winning. She held out her hand toward them, scowled as she shook her head, “And where did she come from?”
