As Hunter was doing his rounds to the few patients who were present in sickbay,he caught sight of Cross and wondered why she was not with the away team since all D’H’s had all been called.

Then the male doctor realized she was doing a medical evaluation to an Aenor/Andorian, a new female crew member, the first Hunter had seen since his time spend on the Merrimack.

Being a doctor his inquisitive nature marked by curiosity and interest, he deemed likely that he would get the opportunity to know her better. Though for now the male doctor was not about to interfere while Cross was busy and more so since this morning he had not been so sympathetic with the Chief Medical officer .

Ginger liked Sickbay better when their weren’t all these doctors and patients around. Then, he could lie undisturbed on the warm, pulsating bio beds and sleep for as long as he wished. When Hunter came closer to spy on the Aenor/Andorian, that was too close for the Captain’s pet. He dashed off the bed, out of Sickbay, and back to the Warp Coil insulation in Engineering.

Hunter was wrong about the new science officer being the first Aenor or Andorian though. Ginger remembered that for a long time the Merrimack had had a formidable COS with those same antennae.

OOC: Hunter has been on the ship for about 3 yrs ,so if it was before he would not have seen him, but I do remember Cross wanting to touch his antennae.!
OOC: It was a “she”, and wore leather trousers IIRC though I can understand why humans have great trouble with Andorian sexes. Bu also, only just two years ago, we had an Andorian Comms Officer called Tinga. Wasn’t around for very long.

Hunter saw something dashing past him from the corner of his eye ‘’What the hell was that!’’ the doctor exclaimed while putting a hand on his forehead ‘’Oh great now I’m hallucinating and I bet its that crazy, unusually strange characters and behavior of the psychiatrist and Cross along with him ‘’.

Kate had been looking at Hunter for the past fifteen minutes or so and she was concerned he did not seem his usual self,walking over the nursing officer asked him if he was feeling alright .The doctor looked down at her confused,lacking clarity the male doctor did not respond .

‘’Did the Captain’s cat frightened you?’’ Kate asked ‘’Oh it was that cat that just dashed behind me?’’ Hunter asked looking around him.
‘’Yes it was and it ran out of sickbay,don’t worry ‘’ then a thought came to mind ‘’Are you afraid of cats? Its okay there are people who are afraid of them ‘’ she said in a soft tone while patting his hand ‘’There’s no need to be scared …there..there’’ she soothed.Hunter pulled his hand away ‘’I’m not afraid of cats,its just I did not know what I saw had it been real or a fragment of my imagination besides I swear that cat hates me,I see him purring at the feet of others but not to me ‘’.

Kate was trying hard not to laugh just in case he would think she was mocking him ‘’ See if you never fed it you mean nothing to it just a human to ignore ,I believe cats see us as mere slaves to them ‘’ but Kate had been a nurse for too long and the way Hunter was behaving the cat was not real problem.

‘’Troy when did you last eat? I was heading to the mess why don’t you came with me ?’’ she asked noticing he did look pale and a bit confused.The doctor just nodded like good little boy and followed even though the last thing he wanted was to eat.
