Freshly minted Lieutenant j.g. Pashi zh’Vhohler made her way through the corridor of the ship to deck five and sickbay. As required by Starfleet regulations she needed to do an onboarding physical, then meet her department head, finally after all that the Captain and XO. She had just recently been promoted after her critically acclaimed paper on the xenolinguistic anthropology comparisons of Earth Mongolian Throat singing and Tellar Nasal singing. Prior to her assignment to the USS Merrimack she had been an adjunct professor of Linguistics, Xenolinguistic anthropology and Mathematics at Starfleet Academy. She had managed to do her research for her paper between the semester breaks and on her leave times. Her reward for her hard work was a posting to the USS Merrimack as her superior Lieutenant Commander Morgan explained. She had shown incredible resolve and ingenuity in writing her paper and also performing her normal duties, it was therefore resolved she needed to be placed out in space, to better use her skills. Therefore, the promotion and an off you go party. She now found herself on the USS *Merrimack.
She found sickbay on deck five and entered through the sliding doors. She looked around for someone to address her needs of a physical.

The Chief Medical officer, Miriam Cross had just entered sickbay after seeing Mr Wong the psychiatrist ,when she caught sight of a new crew member .An Aenar/Andorian female ,though the doctor knew about these humanoid species it was the first time she saw one on the Merrimack and was quick to made her way towards her ,extending a hand she greeted the newcomer ‘’Hi I’m doctor Cross ‘’ she said by way of introduction ‘’I assume you are here for your medical? ‘’ she then pointed to an empty biobed .

Cross had a warm smile on her face but in reality her brain was working overtime about what she had been taught about this species .

Lieutenant j.g. zh’Vhohlehr took the female human’s hand and shook it, understanding the ‘human’ custom as a greeting. “Yes sir, Lieutenant Pashi zh’Vhohlehr reporting for my onboarding physical.” she replied in a low and lyrical voice. She took note of the doctors red eyes, a very unusual color for humans, but said nothing. Pashi jumped up on the bio-bed.
