Hunter had been at the gym when he heard over the comm calling all D.H’s,he emitted a typically long and deep audible breath, took off his gloves,made his way to his quarters for a shower and clean uniform and was by now in sickbay.

After speaking to the Cmdr Cross headed towards Sickbay,seeing Hunter there she approached him ‘’This is suppose to be your day off doctor what are you doing here?’’ she asked ‘’Heard over the comm the Captain calling all D’H’s and decided to do the sensible and obvious obligation’’ he replied.Cross nodded ‘’You can leave doctor I’m not going down with the team’‘.

Hunter shook his head ‘’I’ll stay was about to go and check the store room, jot down what we need and stock up ‘’ ,Cross was about to say something but the doctor had already started to walk away, biting her lower lip, she shrugged her shoulders and entered the office.

Once in her office Cross remembered the vitamins Hunter use to leave on her desk,she looked for them picking up some Padds,maybe the pills were underneath but found none Maybe he has forgotten she thought and headed to the store room.

‘’Doctor did you forget my vitamins, I cannot find them?’’ the female doctor asked.Hunter kept marking down the items on the Padd he was holding ‘’No Cross I have not forgotten,its about time you take responsibility for your well being ‘’ his tone was devoid of any hostility or unfriendliness.
She was left both speechless and perplexed.

Stanley tried for the most part to stay clear of his so-called office. It was small and given enough time in there claustrophobic. Today though he had to finally bite the bullet and send out his first report. He had already been reprimanded for not sending it in on time. Halfway through sickbay and still wearing his full uniform he spotted Cross. He called out to her and said, “Doctor Cross? A word please? ” He then walked into his office and sat in the creaky chair that always seemed to be about to fall to pieces as he awaited Doctor Cross.

Cross was sitting down with elbows on the desk while resting her face in the palms of both hands, trying to figure out why Hunter seemed so cold and reserved in manner …it was so unlike him.While she was brooding about it, the female doctor so the psychiatrist calling out to her Now what the hell does he want? she asked herself.....the last thing Cross needed at that moment was more messiness or mix-up.

And so she made her way to his office, managing to make herself look calm ‘’ Mr Wong why have you called me?’’ Cross asked.

Sitting there as he was in full uniform Stanley could only wonder. He shook his head and looked up at Cross. Stanley seemed changed. Different. Besides wearing a full uniform, he was acting stiff and official. Not at all like the previous Stanley. As he looked at Cross, he said in a level tone of voice. “Doctor you forgot your second appointment with me was there any particular reason?”

If Stanly thought his attire was going to impress Cross, at either subdue or make her more compliant he would be surprised and unprepared to see the other side of the Chief medical officer.

She rested both hands on the small table her face inches from his ‘’Just in case you have forgotten I have a dept to run ,unlike you running here and there , causing psychological harm that impairs the value, usefulness, or normal function of the crew’’ .

Cross was breathing heavily, her red eyes seem to be getting darker ‘’How dare you call me here instead of asking if you could speak to me in my office ‘’.

‘’I have decide to report you to the Captain for entering my quarters when I was naked,then inject me with something which I have no clue of what it was’’ now the female doctor turned to leave ‘’Mr Wong if you need to speak to me then I suggest we do it in my office ‘’.

Looking down then at a sheaf of paper in a file, Stanley marked something in it as he began to speak to Cross without looking up. “You are of course free to report me if you wish doctor. He replied in a flat toneless voice. It would be of great aid to me if you would. It might help me to take my leave of this place sooner than planned. And as for meeting with you again?”

He could now be seen scribbling something at the top of the paper as he looked up at Cross and said, ” All I needed from you was to follow up on our previous appointment. And of course, now having met with you I can now close your case much the way it began. He stood then and said to Cross as he picked up his files. “You may feel free to have your closet back now I am finished using it for an office. Good day to you doctor Cross.”

 And with that Stanley stuffed the folder under his arm and walked out of sickbay.  As he walked back toward sickbay, he couldn't believe how relieved he was. He would never have believed that so much failure could make one feel so relieved! He would go get himself an early lunch though and write out his only patient report and his final evaluation concerning the first run of the Counselor program. The odd thing was he had really hoped that it might work.
