USS Merrimack
Doctor Wong on bridge
Stanley had watched as Joe had left the bridge. He stood leaning against the back of the command chair that Joe had left deep in thought. He found himself amazed. This was an entire side to these people that he had never seen nor ever given much thought to. Some Admiral had spoken for a few moments and now the ship had changed course and speed and were now heading toward a planet that they knew literally nothing about save for a few tidbits of information. And not only that, but once they were there they were expected to meet with a possibly hostile, unknown people and make good friends out of them. To Stanley the entire idea was laughable. But by the way that the commander had reacted it was as if this were an everyday thing. He couldn’t understand what fascinated him the most. Helping an entire planet to rebuild itself and get over the psychological damage done to it by the Klingons or the casual way in which these amazing people took such an order in stride.
Dr. Stanley Wong.
