In the early morning hours Lance woke up and use the coffee beans from his coffee plants and started to make a very good coffee. He made a thermos full of his coffee. As he left his room he walk to sickbay and left the thermos with a sign “For Cross” on it. He hoped that the good coffee will help her have a good day. He tuned to leave.

Cross saw him entering her office and made a beeline towards him,seeing the thermos the doctor asked ‘’So what’s the occasion Lance ?’’ Cross being Cross grabbed him by the arm and let him inside ‘’Might as well eat my sandwiches while the coffee is still hot’‘.
Remembering the teaching of good manners ,the female doctor offered him one ‘’There is nothing in it except butter ‘’ then she went on ‘’So Lance how are you doing as the D’H? ‘’ Cross asked out of curiosity.

Lance smiled at her as he poured some of the coffee into the thermos Mug “try it my coffee bean plants had a good harvest. I roasted the beans lightly and grounded it by an old hand grounder. In till it slow dripped into the collection pot then I warmed it up added alittle water and some cinnamon” he said handing her the mug “it is far better than the stuff that passes as coffee on this ship” he said looking at the sandwiches “man I will like to cook you a meal”
