Jasper just passed the sickbay doors as they closed behind him. As he clumsily made his way down the corridor using the wall from time to time as he made his way back to engineering. As he stopped before the main engineering doors a moment as he sighed hard as he tried to straighten himself up and walked into the engineering section as he made his way to his station. As he logged in as he took a seat there a moment as the monitor started to display all the current information. As he tried to do the work that he could do as he waited for the chief to come by. It took Jasper no time to complete his work and he started to deal with other engineering reports and logs to make sure all was caught up and sent notes to the other engineers that their logs were completed and submitted for them by him since he was restricted on duty and such as he grabbed the toolkit he went to do some minor repair that he believed he could handle. As he left a note for the chief of his whereabouts. As he left and went to repair a few power module in the backup computer banks. After he finished he returned and took a seat again at his station and relaxed a moment with a small cup of hot tea with lemon.

Jasper logged back into the system as he continued to do reports that came in while he was out. His time was almost up and no one seemed to care or not he was even there as he finished off the odd reports”All done.” He hoped the chief did not mind him leaving a few minutes early since there was nothing more he could do at the present time as he signed out of the computer system and moved towards the main doors of engineering to exit. as the doors opened a few officers were passing by to give there reports to there bosses. He let out a sigh as he moved through the doors and down the hall as he moved to the nearest lift. “The main galley.” Jasper said with saying much more as he was the only one on the lift as it moved to its new home. After the lift came to a stop the doors opened to a rather busy corridor as he walked the final length to the doors of the main galley as the doors opened to a busy room. As he moved over to the chow line to get his meal to eat. At least they had his favorite on the menu as he quickly ordered the special which was a double cheeseburger and fries and a chocolate milkshake. As he gathered all his food and moved to an empty table as he took a seat and started eating. As he tried to ignore the other odd conversations going on around him. It was none of his business what they were talking about in the first place.

Cross was present making her way with a plate of chips,she was already scoffing rapidly, the type where one swallow without barely chewing even before she found a place to sit.Looking around the doctor saw the engineer and made a bee line towards him ‘’Hi there Jasper just the man I wanted to see..may I sit?’’ she asked .

Cross Dr.

“Hello, Doctor! Please by all means.” Jasper said quickly to her with a small fleeting smile. “You wanted to see me??” Jasper questioned calmly to her as he took a drink of his drink. As he watched her take a seat.

‘’Thanks Jasper’’ the female doctor replied smiling back and taking a seat ‘’Jasper you must be aware that in a few hours our ship will dock and everyone shall get chance to board off the Merrimack and …well ‘’ she paused for a moment before continuing’’ Go to where ever we want to go ?’’ .
At this point Cross focused on eating more chips, to give him time to answer.

“No problem doctor. I was glad that you joined me.” Jasper said with a half smile before continuing, as he listened to her. Jasper gave the doctor a strange look after her comment. “no..... sir? I was not aware of anything like that?” Jasper said as he was not sure what to say next. “where are we going?” Jasper finally squeaked out. As he dipped a couple of fries into some mayo-ketchup and ate them. As he tried not to overload his mouth just in case he had to answer more and not feel rude for eating with food in his mouth and trying to speak.

‘’I’m heading to the Academy cause an Admiral expect us to make a speech ,lecture or debate with students maybe even some tutors ‘’ Cross stopped long enough to pop a chip or two in her mouth ‘’I need your help in recounting what you went through down with the serpents and the anger you felt once back on the ship,the medical staff took care off your injured hand but who could you talk too about the psychological effect it had on you?’’ the doctor put a hand on his shoulder ‘’ Marthese shall have her own story and well even I do, can you perceive where I’m heading with this?’’ she asked hoping the engineer would understand to some extent and came to a conclusion himself.

“I will do what I can doctor but I have never been one for venting my troubles? Especially to strangers.” Jasper said calmly to the officer. Jasper wanted to say more but his mind would not come up with the right words to say. Jasper looked at his hand for a good minute but still kept quiet.

‘’Dear all you need to do is tell the Cadets how you felt with that enormous serpent around and the anger you felt once we were transported to the ship,I’m not expecting you to say more’’ by this time the chips had gone cold and Cross pushed her plate away ‘’Do you think you were alone? I was expecting to be vaporized in a split of a second myself ‘’ the doctor replied in her normally calm demeanor ‘’If we succeed with our proposal we’ll improve the lives of all Starfleet personnel.It would be another branch of medical that deals with psychology’‘.
‘’Jasper think.................... we may be able to change the lives of future crew for the better’‘.

“Very well doctor. I will do what u can to help.” Jasper said calmly to her. “Care for another drink?” Jasper asked. As he finished off the one he had. As he tried to keep his mind and thoughts in order. Jasper never responded to the doctor’s comments about being alone and the possible vaporization. As he tried to keep things neutral till the actual meeting.

‘’Great Jasper I will notify you when we’re due ‘’ Cross replied ‘’A drink? Yes please’’ at the mention of a beverage the doctor realized how thirsty she actually felt.

“What would you like Doctor?” Jasper asked calmly to her. “I am having a Sumerian Sunset and maybe a hot fudge sundae.”Jasper said with a small smile.

Cross nodded ‘’A big glass of cold orange juice with ice please’’ she replied feeling some what better that the engineer seem to be doing better psychologically.
