USS Merrimack

Main Sim - Habitat - Children Detour

“I was instructed to leave my communicator on the shuttle!” Cara reminded him. “But Lance should have one for emergencies. We were also told not to use the Transporter unless it was an emergency. I guess this counts as one though!”

-Cara Meow, Ship’s Anthropologist and Sociologist.

Cross shook her head ‘’No it does not and as a doctor I should know, besides if need be it would be better to go back to the shuttle where I have access to the medical kit’‘.

‘’What ! We are not even suppose to bring our communicators remember? ‘’ Cross whispered ,apparently Cross could still rationalize despite feeling ill ‘’ Don’t call the Captain, in fact don’t do anything except help me find a place to sit, some water and it shall pass it happened before …no need to alarm yourselves ‘’ the female doctor shook her head in disbelieve.

Cross understood they where trying to help but in doing so they seemed to have forgotten that they were meant to show as little as possible of their technology.

Even in her present state Cross managed to smile ‘’Hey guys just pull yourselves together the sky ain’t falling just yet’‘.

Sal came over as the two groups parents and their children moved off to do something else. “..Is everything ok with your doctor? If she is unwell somehow we can get a drink from inside the schooling areas. While we continue our tour if you wish?” She asked.

‘’Yes please Sal I could do with a glass of water and rest a bit ,nothing to worry about ‘’ the doctor reassured her ‘’Its my fault I should have taken some of the food you prepared for us…I’m sorry ‘’ Cross gave a weary smile .

At this point she did wonder about a hospital, surely these people did have one and wondered why Sal did not offer to take her there. Not that Cross needed but it would be an added bonus to look around.

Cross CMO.

Joe scowled and nearly started to steam. This was one alternative that Joe hadn’t seen coming and quite honestly, he felt like a small mouse trapped in the corner by a large very hungry cat. Diplomacy be darned. He felt the primal urge to throw Cross across his shoulder, carry her to the shuttle and the world be cursed. Joe closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It was hard telling what might happen if these people got their hands on Cross! Who knew what sort of strange medicines they may have?

But there he was boxed in. Cross had said yes to them. And while on the surface it seemed a logical solution Joe felt threatened by it. He turned toward the young redshirt who was at the rear of the group and snapped. “You. Go with the Lieutenant and stay with her until relieved. Screw this up and I’ll have you cleaning micrometeor dust off the outer hull.” He turned then to Cross and said in a low tone. “Miri let’s not forget the story of Persephone, alright?”

Sal seeing the exchange, nodded a bit, “..Very well Doctor Cross. Come this way inside the facility there is a lounge just inside where we first entered..” Sal said leading the group into the educational factility once more and this time heading to the left where a somewhat nicely adorned lounge room was setup probably able to host up to 10-13 people comfortably. Given the decorations and such this was probably a lounge used by the educational staff during breaks. Coming back with a plastic white cup Sal offered it to Cross. “..Here you go.” She said.

Then Sal looked to the XO, “..If you think she needs more serious attention I could call for a medical tram? Or arrange transport for her to return to your ship?” Sal inquired.
