=/\= Glen to Senior officers. We will be taking a shuttle down to the Habitat to meet the Dol in 2 hours 45 minutes. I want to take a shuttle in case he doesn’t have Transporter technology. Could we meet in Conference Room-B, Deck 3 in 2 hours 30 minutes for a short briefing. I need us to be speaking from the same page when we meet the Dol. Glen out. =/\=

30 minutes before they were to leave for the Habitat meeting with the Dol, Captain Glen assembled his officers in Conference Room-B. He would be taking himself and seven other officers along: XO, Joe Milligan, CE, Tia Ezial, CSO, William Grey, CMO, Miriam Cross, Ship’s Anthropologist, Cara Meow, and two security officers NE Wan and NE Too.

Joe was just leaving the gym when he heard the call from Captain Glenn. He had thought to try looking for the CE again to check on the status of the shuttles, but it looked like now they would get whatever engineering might have lying about. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the engineering department, it had more to do that he was of Irish descent. As such he was a firm believer in Murphy’s law which he held as close to his heart as he did the laws of gravity. It had unfortunately plagued his own life. Whatever can go wrong will go wrong seemed to follow him.

But he cast this easily aside as he headed toward the conference room. After all the captain was the pilot, not he. If something wasn’t right about the shuttle, then Glenn would know right away. Walking now into the conference room Joe smiled at the captain and nodded asking,” Well we almost ready for the great adventure sir?”

“I think we’ve found out as much as we can before we meet them in person,” replied Glen. “I’m just a little concerned about someone blurting out something we shouldn’t be telling them… but we’ve been here before. Missions like this are our bread and butter. You’ll get use to it.!

Cross followed a bit out of breath ‘’Captain I took the boy to sickbay cause I wasn’t sure about taking him with us since its going to be our first contact with his inhabitants’‘
If Glen wanted Franz to accompany them she could call Hunter to bring the boy over.

“What we do with the boy is something we haven’t really talked about… and we really should have that discussion. You know… I did have the crazy idea of taking him with us back to Earth… Is it very crazy? Or just a little? The alternatives are giving him back to the Dol, or else taking him to the Alstaireans, his original destination. I think if we are giving him back to the Dol, then we might as well take him down with us now. I don’t see a reason to keep him longer. What do you both think?”

The Ship’s Anthropologist, Cara Meow, overheard the Captain. “I’d like us to keep him longer so that I may study him some more,” she purred.
