Hal eventually went off of his shift at around 10pm. That was rather late. But it was his first full shift that he was on since he was back from the away team mission. He had plenty of systems diagnostics and security checks to run.

So it was that he found himself in the ship’s galley. He ordered a double cheeseburger medium rare. With plenty of bacon and mushrooms on it. Otherwise, plain. Served with a side of steak fries and an ice cold diet root beer.
