Lt Trainor from the Ark Angel has remained behind to assist us with the Boron Particle. I have lifted the restrictions on our crew. Also, we need a new Helm officer as NE Wherethehellarewe left us at Deep Space Seven. See if there are any fly boys down in the Shuttlebays that we can promote. I will be on the Bridge. : : Glen heard something he never heard before, Kord laughing.

: : : Nkosenye arrived at the shuttle bay a few minutes later. “Commander. The Captain told me to report to you. What can I do to be of assistance?”

: : Kord looked over and the giant of a man. He still had the broad genuine smile on his face.

: : “Depends, how is your quantum and sub-space field theory?”

: Nkosenye cocked his head to the side and crossed his arms over his massive chest. While he didn’t smile, there was a glint in his eye. “Lacking. But I have very steady hands and advanced training in ordinance arming and disposal. Many un-exploded bombs in the area where I grew up. And even more zealots with the desire to do harm on a large scale. And I take direction well. If you would like to handle the scientific theory, I can help with the hardware.”

Buchanan and Isherwood worked to get the shuttle out of the sixth bay and into storage. This gave Commander Kord and Nkosenye a good place to work on their project.

: Seeing as he would not be needed for a mission, Remi approached the Exec and stated, “Sir, since you will not be needing me, I’ll return to my duty station.”

Kord nodded to Remi and turned to Knosenye.

“First we need a time space driver coil, a phase amplifier, and a graviton projector.” Kord told Kosenye, “The Graviton projector is going to be the heaviest component as it’s the basic component of tractor beam technology.”

Nkosenye nodded. “Place that first, then build around it, correct?”

OOC: Cleaning up some snips, also…

As Nkosenye was talking he saw the vague outline of what seemed a Terran monkey hanging as if from nothing in mid air above and behind Kord’s head, as if swinging from branches it landed on the ground 10 ft away half inside a storage crate before vanishing from sight. Evidently this was another one of those temporal distortions that had been mentioned earlier.

Nkosenye watched the monkey vanish and then looked at Kord. “Um, sir. I believe I just experienced one of the temporal distortions. Well, either that… or there is a monkey with a malfunctioning cloaking device on board the ship.” he said.

Kord arched and eyebrow.

“Is it going to interfere with your assistance on this project?” Kord asked.

-Kord, XO

Nkosenye glared at the space where the monkey was / had been. “No, sir. Merely a comment on the event. As you are dealing with quantum and sub-space fields, I thought you should know.” And he looked back to the device. “Is the Gravitron Projector ready to be placed?” he asked, making sure the housing had enough space to accommodate the device without interfering with any of the remaining components.

“We just walked into the shuttle bay, nothing’s ready yet.” Kord said with a smile, “You go get the graviton projector and I’ll take care of the TSD Coils.”

Kord turned to head for Engineering storage and turned back for a moment.

“Don’t forget to report on that ghost monkey.” he said then stepped out the door.

Nkosenye nodded in acknowledgement, and left head to get the required equipment.
